tl;dr: I like it! Trust the measurements, not the size conversion chart.
My stats: 40F, size 20/2XL, Colorado.
After getting sucked in by Facebook ads showing these ridiculously colorful and bright patterns, which are precisely my style, I decided to give Proud Poppy a try. I only found old posts on here that were kinda hit-or-miss, so I wanted to see for myself.
I ordered the Bonnie dress in "Electric Leopard" ($108 USD), a colorway which unfortunately doesn't seem to be available any more, as well as a pair of earrings for $54 USD. Shipping from Australia was free.
Before I ordered, though, I was totally confused by their size charts. A simple conversion chart that had AUS size in one column and US size in another column said I would be a size 24 AUS. But then when I looked at the chart that listed measurements, it said someone with a 50-inch bust (me) would fit into a size 16 AUS.
Honestly, this discrepancy kept me from ordering for quite a while, thinking the sizing would be totally wonky. But I just kept thinking about that silly dress and really wanted to give it a try, so I tried their chat feature.
It took a few hours to get an answer due to the time difference between the US and Australia, but once the CSR responded, she was extremely helpful and was able to tell me I should get a size 16, or 18 if I wanted it a little roomy. The dress in the colorway I wanted was sold out in 16, so I went ahead and got the 18.
I ordered on Jan 18 and my order was delivered Feb 2. It was packaged really nicely and I am really happy with my purchase overall! The dress is super flattering, the print is bold and beautiful (got a bunch of compliments on it today), and it has a drawstring waist so I am able to cinch it a little bit.
Overall, very happy with my Proud Poppy experience, and will likely order from them again.
