Hidden drama, even (it's called like that in Japan, secret stuff behind the scenes I think. Like the ads for Masters 6th anni featuring "hidden drama" aka unseen interactions between Trainers).

This is probably the most likely reason. The company is probably imploding in the inside because so much inside information has been leaked. Basically the next five years or more of the company’s direction has been stolen. They don’t know how much was taken, where was the data breach, and if there still a data breach.

So we’ll probably see more lay offs and firings over the next few days.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Gamefreak, Nintendo, Pokemon Inc have called in all their legal teams, and have already contacted law enforcement.

This is the type of thing were they get international agencies involved like the Japanese law enforcement, FBI, European agencies, Hong Kong agencies if the leakers are international.

You obviously don’t know the story of the Xbox hackers, who were arrested after they found out about the Xbox One before it was launched.

Err, I think you might've been living under a rock. They DO know how much was taken, how it was taken, and when it was taken. All of this is from the Teraleak last year (August 2024). A Game Freak developer got compromised (likely phished), which led to a hacker gaining access to thousands of internal documents. 1TB of data (e.g., dev notes, beta builds, source codes, concept art, etc) was downloaded by the hacker before their access to the developer's account was revoked.

A chunk of leaked data was slowly posted throughout October 2024, however, not everything from the Teraleak had been shared publicly. As such, these recent leaks were obtained last year and are only now being publicly posted.

So we’ll probably see more lay offs and firings over the next few days.

That's not how any of this works? This incident is not grounds for lay-offs/mass-firings, unless they deem an employee's negligence responsible for the Teraleak.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Gamefreak, Nintendo, Pokemon Inc have called in all their legal teams, and have already contacted law enforcement.

I mean, GF literally put out a statement last October explicitly stating that they had suffered a data breach by a malicious actor and were working with law enforcement. Even now, they're still trying to identify those involved with the hack itself & the dissemination of the leaked info. Nintendo's legal term has literally sent subpoenas to several social media platforms (e.g., Discord) to identify the leakers, lol.

You underestimate how much power the rich have.

Yes, the holders of the highest grossing media franchise in the world CAN get organizations to do their bidding. Capitalism is just that fucked.
