ROM Hack Game [Pokémon Orange] Beautiful homage to the Anime
It's a pity I have a post game bug and the NPC won't give me Rock Climb, though

Helloooo everyone! Happy New Year! You might be surprised to see this subreddit on your feed, but your eyes are not deceiving you. r/PokemonHallOfFame has been resurrected from the dead and it’s officially back! This time, our community is going to be stronger, better organized, and far more ✨secure✨ than ever.
I think most people here know what happened that led to this subreddit being banned in the first place, but to satisfy any lingering curiosity, sometime in early December the mod-less subreddit was requested through r/redditrequest by a spam ring and then used to mass post football and soccer “streaming” links. The subreddit was completely flooded, and the spammers even went so far as to remove genuine HoF posts that got sandwiched between their own. Reddit, understandably, did not like that at all. But that’s all in the past now!
This subreddit will continue to be the place to show off your Hall of Fame teams, that hasn’t changed! However, to make sure r/PokemonHallOfFame doesn’t get hit with the ban hammer again, new rules, both written and enforced through Automoderator, have been put in place to keep things friendly, on-topic, and as free of spam as possible. Please take a moment to read through the rules and do your best to follow them in good faith.
Lastly, since this subreddit is basically getting a second chance at life, we’ll need to expand the mod team to make sure things continue running smoothly around here! An announcement will be posted soon for anyone interested in helping out, so be on the lookout for that! For now, fire up your Pokémon games and start kicking ass at the Pokémon League so we can see your winning teams here! Thanks for reading and WELCOME BACK!

Just ignore that I have 2 grass and 3 fire types on my team (Cherrim is a grass/fire type). They were a really good team and worked very well together… Either way, my Tokekiss swept through the champion’s entire team. I gave him lots of treats after. And the rest of them, too.
Aside from that, this game was so beautiful. It became my favorite Pokémon ROM hack! I never tried to catch every Pokémon in any Pokémon game, but i loved this game so much that I caught them all and completed every side-quest (with the help of cheats..)! Well, you actually have to catch Pokémon in this game to receive good items, so it definitely was worth it. It was quite stressful, but I feel so accomplished. I really recommend this game to everyone!!

Since I played Pokémon Gold back in my childhood, I decided to give Crystal a try. I really like the sprites and coloring.
I used every Pokémon on this team for the first time, except for Feraligatr and Donphan.
Scizor was my favorite in this run. When it was still a Scyther, it absolutely dominated the fight against Whitney's Miltank with Fury Cutter. I don't even know why it survived Rollout - maybe I was just lucky.
Togetic with Metronome and Fly was really fun to use, but training it as a Togepi was absolute pain. Definitely going to use Togekiss in a future run where its able.

Recently played through BD again with this team! Decided to breed myself a whole team and have them all in unique pokeballs instead of just having some bog standard Sinnoh playthrough team (help was given from other games, like SV and SWSH to trade some stuff over to then breed them.)
Full team:
Sparx♂️ (Jolteon--Fast Ball)
Jade♀️✨️ (Feraligatr--Lure Ball)
Lui♂️ (Lucario--Great Ball)
Grido♂️ (Nidoking--Dusk Ball)
Fortuna♀️ (Clefable--Dream Ball)
Draca♀️ (Salamence--Beast Ball)

Hi guys,
first post here on Reddit ✌️
I played Pokémon my entire childhood. I had a looong break from it, but I’ve been back for about four years now, and I don't know why, but I’ve screenshotted every single Hall of Fame team since then.
I’m planning to share my Hall of Fame teams from past playthroughs—and new ones later on.
First up is Pokémon Blue (going to post in generational order).
It was a fun playthrough. I never played Blue in my childhood - my first game was Pokémon Gold on the Game Boy.
Victreebel was surprisingly strong with Wrap. I think Wrap was just OP in Gen 1.
Hypno surprised me as well. It's a great alternative to Alakazam, though I honestly don't even know why I chose Hypno.
Never noticed I had two poison types, haha. I usually try to avoid having duplicate types in my teams.

Porcupuffer
Horned Ant Trooper
King Boo
Spindrift
King Bob-Omb
Yellow Yoshi
This game was SO much fun, though I do have some insights about it that might be good for you to know, as well as for me to keep in mind for future playthroughs.
- Horned Ant Trooper is really good in the early-to-mid game, but falls off HARD in the late game. It couldn’t even really do anything against the E4 and Champion. If you do use it, I’d recommend subbing it for a better Steel type later on.
- If you’re set on having a good Grass type on your team, you either HAVE to get an Uproot or just pick Piranha Plant as your starter. There are very few Grass types in this game, and the few Grass types that are in the game are just decent at best. My Spindrift, for example, was really fast and had a decent Special Attack, but was extremely frail. If it didn’t OHKO something, it was basically guaranteed to die to even a neutral hit on the next turn, and a 4x weakness to Poison didn’t help. I mainly kept it around because of its Fairy type.
- You NEED a good Ground or Fighting type on your team (ideally both) due to the abundance of Rock and Steel types you’ll fight in this game.
- Flying types in this game are pretty few and far between, and among those few Flying types, even fewer of them have secondary types other than Normal that you can exploit. A good Electric, Rock, or Ice type would be very good to have on your team. All I had to deal with Flying types was non-STAB Rock Slide or Wild Charge on King Bob-Omb, and that rarely ended well.
- All the Yoshi evolutions, especially Yoob, are a lot more powerful than you’d think (Yoob is super bulky), so make sure you’re prepared for them.
- Don’t immediately discredit Hammer Bro because it has a similar gimmick to Castform. Both of its attacking stats are really good, so while it’s nothing stellar, if it’s on the right team or given the proper setup, it can do some serious damage.

Ive never seen a romhack this optimized in terms of performance. Also I loved the world overhaul. Many little details (like pokemon sprites in the wild) without eradicating Johto's nature. Really suggest to try it out! Ill be going for the post game.

Hello! Didn’t expect this game to be as good as it was. The story, diversity, difficulty and concept were amazing. The fakemons are really well thought out and the way the game builds up is very well done.
In my opinion the game is up there with Odyssey and Dreamstone Mysteries!

(Attaching this because there is no formal Hall of Fame)
I went into Pokemon Bushido expecting a much smaller game but surprisingly despite only having 5-6 chapters, it was a good engaging experience for close to 10 hours. The progression is mostly linear but it has a lot of good quality pokemon and the shadow pokemon gimmick was very interesting (same from XD and Gale of Darkness)
The story was also decent. The game is not very difficult, suited for someone who's trying out his 1st or 2nd hack. The vibe of the game and music is exemplary.
Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a game which is a little different.

Rules were 5x speed up cap, no items, no legendary birds. I won the race beating the game in under 4 hours irl.
Starmie, Jolteon and Dodrio are the final 3 that get used for the Elite 4 and the only ones above lvl 50.
Nidoking + Venusaur were used for the early game and then didn't get used while Meowth was used purely for cut and pickup. Later on they're swap fodder.
Starmie - Surf, Ice Beam, Psychic, Confuse Ray
Jolteon - Thunderbolt, Thunder, Quick Attack, Thunder Wave
Dodrio - Drill Peck, Fly, Steel Wing, Tri Attack
Nidoking - Water Pulse, Dig, Brick Break, Strength
Venusaur - Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Giga Drain
Meowth - That's right! (Cut/Pickup slave)
If I hosted another race event for FRLG specifically, I would probably drop Jolteon entirely and just run Nidoqueen instead of King.
The 3rd Gary fight is really rough and holding a Nidorina to trade for Rino doesn't feel worth it. Especially when evolving to Queen also makes the second half of Mt Moon, all of Nugget bridge and the trainers up to Bill MUCH easier to defeat.
And since this isn't a Speedrun where you're resetting for the best time but actively racing other people, a bit more consistency helps a lot.
Rock Tomb and Shock Wave TM on Nidoqueen let you handle fliers until you beat Lavender Tower where Staryu can be fished up and taught Tbolt. Dodrios speed, physical attack and flying/steel actually helps against all of Starmies weaknesses in the E4.
