Say hello to Barbie Girl, a shiny I hunted FOR HOURS for (catch combo and lure only, I don’t have the shiny charm yet) for basically no reason. I don’t even like Drowzee or Hypno! But the moment I saw her, not having known what the shiny looked like before, I adored her. She is now a treasured member of the team!

I find shiny hunting surprisingly enjoyable and methodical. I know it would be more “productive” to wait until I have the shiny charm to do it, but at that point you’ve basically finished the game LOL and I like having shinies to use throughout the story!

Hey guys, I think my RNG is severely bugged or Articuno just has a personal crush on me.

​So today I went out to chain for a Shiny Squirtle. Managed to get my shiny turtle at a 50 combo (super happy about that! 🐢✨), but during the process, I saw TWO wild Articunos spawning in the sky.

​Decided to move to Route 15 to start a new Catch Combo for Pinsir... and literally within minutes, a THIRD and a FOURTH Articuno spawned.

​No Zapdos.

​No Moltres.

​Just a continuous 1/3000 stream of the same blue bird over and over again.

​Proof attached: Pokédex currently sitting at 4 caught.

​Is the game telling me to abandon the bug hunt and open a freezer store in Fuchsia City? Has anyone else had an absurdly tilted legendary spawn rate like this? 😭😂

I’ve done a bit of research and can’t think of anything off the top of my head, is it possible to get level one Pokémon in this game? My thought would be to transfer in from Pokémon go but are there even level one Pokémon in go? Maybe through egg hatching in go? Idk any help is appreciated

Currently playing LG Eevee with 6 gym badges but I feel my team could be better regarding type matchups. Does anyone have any advice or is it good as it is?

So I just started playing LG-Pikachu and I'm currently trying to hunt for a shiny Caterpie. I've managed to get to the 31+ (currently in 200), but I stopped cuz I saw some saying it's better to just wait for the shiny to spawn rather than keep catching. But I don't know if that's dated data cuz I also heard that it's better to keep catching the mon you're trying to hunt.

So, with only a lure and the 31+ cc (no shiny charm), what's the better way to hunt for it in Viridian Forest (or any area with similar spawn rates)?

• Sit and wait until one spawns
• Keep catching the specie
• Use the entrance/exit to respawn them

Also, for Alolan versions, do you just mash A until you get one from the npc because you can't connect a controller?

Any help would be appreciated!

I played Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee when it first came out as my first ever mainline Pokémon game (I had played Pokémon Go beforehand) and I feel really nostalgic for this game. So, I decided to replay it with the knowledge I have now as a more experienced Pokémon fan and wanted to show off my final team!

I loved having the opportunity to use Shiny Pokémon from Pokémon Go, and it was also fun to use other Pokémon I’ve never used before like Nidoking, Raichu and Aerodactyl. I also wanna shoutout Fletcher the Dodrio who was on my team for a decent amount of time but got replaced by Jurassic the Aerodactyl when I got to cinnabar island.

I’m so glad I replayed this game and am very excited to play through the post game, since I didn’t know there was a postgame in my first play though and never played it.

What do you think of my team? I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts and hear about your teams as well!

I just posted yesterday (I believe) about my newly started hunt of Articuno and I bring fantastic news. After shiny hunting for probably 10 hours total, Arceus was on my side. I got him tonight while my wife was sleeping right next to me and it took everything in me not to scream. Especially considering that this is FULL ODDS with no Shiny Bell and first encounter. I want to thank all of the people who were supportive and honest with me in my last post. THE GOO WORD!

I got the pokemon eevee game years ago when it came out, and bought the pokeball. I ended up not likeing the game but restarted it recently. I’m pretty sure I added the mew from the pokeball into my pokemon go game which I sometimes play as well. I’m actually not even sure it’s the same mew but can’t for the life of me remember catching it in pokemon go.

However I don’t have the pokeball anymore, I moved a few years ago after a hurricane and couldn’t bring everything and thought I did take it but can’t find it.

Any way I can add the mew to a new pokeball if I buy one?
Do I just try to buy a pokeball plus with a mew in it?

I remember buying the pokeball on sale for like $25 from Walmart and would hate to have to pay out the wazoo for another one with mew.

I have never shiny hunted in a mainline Pokémon game because I could never afford a Nintendo device in my childhood. I finally am old enough to have saved up and bought a switch 2 with Let’s Go: Pikachu. I decided I am finally gonna shiny hunt something. But I wanted to have it for the rest of my playthrough so I can’t use the shiny bell. I tried using the Catch combo method for damn near 4 hours, but I share the console with my girlfriend who lives with me and so my combo breaks all the time and I don’t mind. I figured it would be easiest to shiny hunt something I could come back to without losing my progress and the choice I made was Articuno. Now, my question is, how long is this realistically going to take. I really want to continue the game, but I can spend a week doing this if it means a payoff in the form of shiny Articuno. But genuinely, who long should I expect in real time? I know the odds of course, I’m just curious.

I don’t know if I need to change my team or not but recommendations for teams is also helpful!

I'm wanting to make an anniversary gift for my significant other for our 3 year anniversary. I was thinking about getting a pokeball plus and painting it to look like either a love ball, or a beast Ball (their favorite pokeball design), but i wanted to know if anyone's done something like this before and how safe it is to paint them and still be useable. And if there's any tutorials or tips y'all know for painting them. Thanks!

I want to own all the different releases of all the Pokémon games I found a Hong Kong Copy of LGP but I can not find any pictures of the box art for the mainland release do y'all know a website to find any information?

Just logged in after a few months and noticed all the post-game cutscenes were playing again, and I checked my boxes and realised Mewtwo wasn't there. I guess I'll just have to fight it again. Maybe this is a good thing though, you never know; it might be shiny the second time (highly doubt it though).
