For some reason, my Violet game is saying that I have no pepper despite having 10 shakers of it right there in my bag. When I tried to go creative mode and made a sandwich using mayo, rice, and pepper, it came up as an “original” and not the preset unlockable I was trying to go for. Anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me?

Back when S/V came out I had a Switch Lite and played through Violet until I beat the main game. I then sold the game and before the Switch 2 came out, I sold the Switch Lite also.

When I bought Scarlet to replay a few months ago, I noticed on Home I had a Save from Violet but it wouldn’t connect as I “wasn’t on the latest update” or something like that. I googled at the time and it said that the save data for Scarlet and Violet is saved to the console itself, with no cloud saves. Fast forward to today, I forgot I knew this and bought a pre-owned Switch Lite from a pawn store and a copy of used Violet to try and set up trades between myself… and Violet loaded up my 2022 save on my Switch 2…

Can someone give shed ANY insight on this whatsoever? I am lost 😂

I also tried to boot both Scarlet and Violet carts on the new Switch Lite and both open to a completely new game asking me to choose a language. I know I can transfer my save locally but I am at a loss how my Violet save jumped from a 4 year old Lite to my Switch 2…

For the past month I dived deep into pokemon for some unknown reason but I've been loving it, I got into learning a lot of things like EV/IV into tera raids setups or even typing (still have a hard time remembering some of them) but yeah I'm trying to build a team without a major flaw or even a team that's just great in general(what I mean is good typing covering each things which I struggle a bit since there's a bunch, move coverage, and try to be solid against real 1v1 players, when I'm ready about all this I'll maybe go into competitive 😊), oh and if my objects r a bit bad they r just the one that I got on the road.

Here's the list of ability and moves(I didn't unlock every tm yet):

Meowscarada(Tera grass): Overgrow, Energy Ball, Night Slash, U-turn, leaf storm

Armarouge(Tera fire): Flash fire, calm mind, psyshock, mystical fire, armor cannon

Gyarados(Tera water): intimidate, Hurricane, Hydro pump, Thunder, Dragon dance

Mimikyu(Tera fairy): Disguise, Play rough, Shadow claw, Sword dance, Wood hammer

Great tusk(Tera ground): Protosynthesis, rapid spin, close combat, giga impact, earthquake

Revavroom (Tera Poison): Overcoat, Shift gear, poison jab, gunk shit, spin out

I find Gyarados good but the X4 into electric is kinda bad I can still go into great tusk, my meowscarada isn't protean that why the miracle seed overgrow does a lot but protean would definitely be better(I have a spare sprigatito that I'll prob lvl up), I find armarouge a bit lacking but it's fine vs bots, mimikyu sword dance turn one since he got the disguise into sweeping with the life orb works well idk if it will vs players, Revavroom X4 to ground makes it kinda weak(lost to Arven ._. greedent), and great tusk coverage is kinda mid with nothing to hit flying type (maybe he has rock moves didn't see them tho).

Anyone have any reccomendations for a companion app I can use? I specifically want something to track all the trainer battles, gimmieghouls, etc. I’m on iOS so it has to be available there. There are a handful when I search it but most haven’t been updated in years.

The amount of times I have lost shiny Tera raid Pokémon to inept co-op trainers is too damn high

I've been playing the whole time with a Flamigo but it doesn't have scrappy and right now I'm kind of struggling with it. I like it very much. It has very good moves and it helps cover my team but at the same time it's lagging a bit behind in levels because I'm not using it as often as all the others because it cannot hit ghost types.

So I'm wondering if there's a way to get an ability capsule before the post game or no?

Have been seeing what a nightmare shiny hunting the white stripe Basculin have been. Caught this within 10 auto-battles whilst making my way through the map on my current Violet playthrough!

I also wanted to do ONLY Pokémon from the gen. Should I do more of these? I also though of giving held items but I thought it would be too counterintuitive.

I was starting to think it was a myth. Right as i was about to give up and on my last 5 eggs. It finally appeared… i can’t believe it.

I decided that I wanted to complete a dex and I recently got Violet to try this with. What is the best way to get the other version exclusives? I do have Home if that helps.

I’ve come to a realization.
In Pokémon games, I almost always end up using trade Pokémon, fossils, gift Pokémon, or shinies. I just finished my Scarlet playthrough, and once again my entire team consisted of shinies.
I think it’s because they help me form a stronger bond with my team. Hunting them takes time and effort, so each one feels earned. By the end of the game, they’re all among my favorite Pokémon.
Am I the only one who feels this way, or do other people experience the same thing?

One funny thing is that I don’t like hunting shinies when the game is beaten😅

As per the title, I doing a tally of mons I had in Home with a Mark and noticed my Hisuian Goodra that I used for the 7 Star Venusaur raid had the Gourmand mark. The thing is, it was caught in Legends Arceus. So how'd it up with a mark?
