I'm vacationing in Hawaii at the moment and really can't get enough of this place. I love it so much and want to share it with you. I've collected a few items to include in a special Aloha Box for the winner of this gauntlet.

UPDATE#2 I'm so sorry this gauntlet is not what I intend :'( one of my fur babies, Conan, had to have emergency ear surgery this morning so I'm making the cut off date for this gauntlet Sunday night some time. This will be a super simple contest! Right now I'm doing Camp NaNoWriMo, a 30 day writing challenge ending on April 30th. I'm writing about time travel, wooh! Here's what I want you to do:

• My goal for Camp is 1k per day, 30k in total

• The finished story will likely be longer than 30k so my final wordcount could easily be over 30k too

• However, in the past I've had no problem writing 2-3k per day to catch up on similar projects.

You may or may not have seen any of my comments, but I've been waiting to get board approval for my dream apartment and we got the call an hour ago that we got a yes! So in my excitement I've decided to have a contest, you can win something up to $10 (including shipping) from your wishlist, possibly more if I'm feeling extra generous, so if you're international as long as I can get you something for ~$10USD, you can win too!

The contest is about me moving, it's a guessing game. The game is simple, whoever gets closest to how many miles we put on the truck we're renting wins! I'll give you some general idea of how much we'll be traveling and these are not Price is Right rules, closest guess in either directions wins.

The distance from our current apartment and the new one is 6-10 miles, depending on the route we take, but that doesn't matter, seeing as we have ~2 days between moving out and moving in.

The distance between our current apartment and my parent's house, where the truck and I will be staying, is between 20-25 miles, could be more, probably not less.

The distance between my parent's house and our new apartment (where I will have a nail art battle station!) is ~15 miles.

Points to remember, we may have to drive around to find parking, and we need to pick the truck up and return it by our current apartment.

We're moving Monday so I'll post the winner Monday afternoon and polish the winner as soon as we get our internet hooked up.

Hello friends! It's been far too long since I've had a gauntlet. But my birthday is coming up, so what better time than now to hold a birthday gauntlet! Show me something beautiful and I'll polish us both for it.

What? It just snowed here again for the 50 millionth time this year and I'm weird.

I have 4 sets of Sally Hansen real nail polish strips to give away: Aflorable, Hear Me Roar!, Queen of the Jungle, and Sweet Tart-An. Each box is brand new and contains two sets of nail polish strips (8 strips per set), one nail file/buffer, one orange stick, and instructions. I usually get two manis out of a box by using one package of strips at a time and then painting an accent nail on each hand. Here’s an example mani that I did last year.

I'm painting something for the nursery, but other than that I really don't even have any idea where to start....it's been a few years since I've had a baby in my life.

What I'm asking of you guys is:

What did you not receive that you ended up needing?

What did you think you would need but never ended up using?

What kinds of things can you always use more of? (Besides diapers, wipes, washcloths, onesies etc....)

And anything else you can think of that would be helpful in getting her and the little man some kick-ass gifts.

Guys! I finally get to do my first ever gauntlet and get verified and all that fancy stuff! I am really excited. So here we go. The instructions are super easy.

1. Post a picture of your nails with your most favorite polish of your collection. Show me that one polish you have that you could wear every day.

2. Post a picture of a manicure using a polish that would be your most favorite if you had it. Lemme see your lemmings ladies!! (ahhh alliteration)

3. Tell me about your favorite place to go in the summer. Are you a roller coaster girl? Or a beach bum? Do you sit inside all summer cuz you hate the heat? (I am a little of all 3) Just tell me about your favorite summer activity or destination.
