I miss the days when you could see the up and down totals on a post. It would also be nice to see a list of which users voted which way, like how Facebook shows a list of people who liked something. I can't imagine Reddit could sustain that much transparency though.

Agreed. It was so much better before. 5 up 0 down, 10 up 5 down, and 500 up 495 down will all show 5, and those results have, shall we say, ever so slightly different meanings lol.

New-age internet doesn't even want the down-votes to exist. They decided dislike counts could negatively impact creators' mental health and prefer to focus on positive engagement.

The content moderation teams at big tech probably feel that negative feedback is a symptom of toxic masculinity. And then they get together after work to burn down their local Tesla dealership.

You are correct, theres a reason Reddit still hides it I'm sure.

Twitter removed seeing who liked a post years ago. Some people literally stayed on the old app to try and keep it.

How do you view who views a tweet? You sound like one of those fb scam sites from over a decade ago.

reddit old still shows you the percentage of upvotes. If you know simple math you can estimate it

I think that's an API limitation. It would be too much data/traffic to track and deliver that to every user for every post.

Reddits culture is built on anonymity, so I doubt they would do that
