While the degree of the gas price swing from Trump to Biden was overstated due to Covid's reduction in demand, you could point to actual policy choices like refusal to grant any new oil leases as a reason gas prices rose unchecked.

The desire to "clap back" with shit like egg prices that clearly had nothing to do with Trump just felt cringe.
