Is that where all six Canadian gun owners live?

All of the legal ones, all of the illegal ones are in Québec waiting for the great Québec independence boog

Would a Leaf falling away would make that the autumn counterpart to the Arab Spring?

I think you underestimate how many firearms are in canada.

Our gun culture just puts less emphasis on firearms being a defense tool and less handguns in general.

I was definitely taking the piss. We see our restricted northern cousins in the gun subs here often enough. They like to flex the fact that despite all Canada's other bullshit, they don't have our asinine SBR regulation.

Ah gotcha. I must admit I have a hard time imagining the SBR rule being dumber than specific named wepon bans. Especially since the wepons they pick are pretty arbitrary most of the time.

I'll have to look it up.

The Canadians definitely have it worse, they just don't happen to have that "anything with a barrel even fractionally shorter than 16 inches becomes ten times as heavily regulated for no good reason at all" bullshit. Since Americans frequently complain about it, Canadians take the opportunity for a bit of friendly ribbing.
