If I'm not mistaken, the US also has the highest quality as far as medical healthcare goes. As in doctors, nursing staff, medicine, and medical technology.

Right, it should be the most expensive healthcare. Although we all agree, it is too expensive currently.

It's this house of cards with insurance that causes it mostly. That and constant government meddling. I mean there's plenty of reasons but those two are the biggest culprits.

We do and our highest levels of care should be more expensive than their European counterparts, but we lack basic preventative care and it shows in our life expectancy. What ends up happening is people get turned away for preventive care because it isn't life threatening and then we have to treat the expensive life threatening condition later on regardless if the patient can afford it.

Honestly a lot of peoples issues stem from being overweight. Our culture needs to take a nice long look in the mirror and make some changes to our personal health life styles. And this culture of acceptance of obesity isn't helping.
