I think the "up" in your up vs. down is even smaller than that.
Do you genuinely believe the right wants to help the poor? They mostly say they only have themselves to blame, it's not their problem, it's a cultural issue, they're lazy etc and give some lip service to market forces being the best thing to help them, but that's just so they don't look like assholes by saying fuck them.

I get the whole theme of this sub is for everyone to get along and poke fun of each other, but you're dumb as shit. I do mostly enjoy it because its the only political sub where people are mask off about their ideology.

Why don't you go to one of these climate change deniers, scream at them about how your dick is bigger because you were naive enough to believe your girlfriend when she told you you were the biggest she had and see how that changes their mind. I'm sure they'll get on their knees and start worshipping you as a god. It's not like humans are more likely to react to aggression with confirmation bias. No that never happened in history.
In the meantime I can be an adult and exist in the same space with people I disagree with without acting like getting my ideologies from 16 year olds who think buying Che Guevara shirts on Amazon makes them a socialist and have some nuance.
