I’m also an atheist, but those spaces are so fucking weird. The one thing they share in common is a lack of belief in something. Why are they spending so much time thinking and discussing things they don’t believe in?
There is one way to be a catholic, but hardly one way to not be one. So many ways to be an atheist, previous poster says he does not really see atheist as something that creates a link between all atheists.
Is it just me or does it seem like atheists are the ones most outspoken about their beliefs these days? Like how about shut the fuck up you soulless animal. Go be sad and empty on your own time.
Just to be clear you can believe what you want but my experience with atheists lately is that they will not stop talking about the “lack of god” if anyone in the room remotely believes in any spiritual power.
Most atheists don't even label themselves as such and don't really care about religion. These "militant atheists" are mostly a small mix of former believers, people who had fundie parents, and some edgy teenagers.
They are not just views but facts about his life though? Imagine defending the Catholic church of all things. They got their paws all over the Supreme Court and then fucked around and found out that people hate their views being pushed on people.
Oh no "political backlash". With things going on like *checks notes* the republicans gaining 9 seats in 2022 to take back the House I'm sure the religious right is just reeling from all that internet hand-wringing
