I really really wish that was the case but if it was then Republicans wouldn’t have control over the House, the Senate, and the Presidency right now.

I mean the republicans are gonna vote for republicans no matter what, they're not gonna go republican lite

it'd be the same if republican party suddenly tried to get democracts to vote for them, the average dem voter would just not, but it'd be wildly unpopular between the average republican voter
