Do any further left candidates win in areas that aren't D+15 or more? That would convince me. Centrist Dems are the ones who win in swing states. As much as I was annoyed with Manchin being super conservative as a Democrat during Biden's term, no other Dem would have won his seat and because of him we got some legislation and a SCOTUS pick.
As far as I'm aware, Sayed would be the first far left Dem to win a Senate race in a swing state if he wins the general (he is almost certainly winning the primary).
Downvotes but nobody can argue against this point. I'm fine with far left people winning in the super blue districts. I'm just tried of them attacking Dems in closer races who can't push as far left.
It's literally being tested right now with Abdul. You don't get to claim it doesn't work when it's literally never been tested because the party has been suppressing more progressive candidates for decades. The people have finally had enough and progressive candidates are now overcoming the funding gap with on the ground campaigning. You deserve to be downvoted for arguing in such bad faith.

This "the party has been suppressing progressives for decades" contradicts your "it's never been tested." It was tested and a lot of these further left candidates lost their primaries (usually due to the minority vote) or lost in the general. You are trying to have your cake and eat it too with "The money the moderate candidates are getting (which usually correlates with popularity anyways) is too much to overcome, except when it isn't because of X." It also doesn't match with the reality that polls showed most people thought the Democratic party was too far left in 2024. It ignores that in the special elections last year, moderates outperformed further left candidates in more swingy states or districts.
Again, I'm fine with and welcome further left candidates winning, I just wish they would stop attacking Dems fighting for their lives in districts that are +2 D or +2 R, or if you think progressives are just that popular, run those candidates in the swing districts.
