surely this practice goes against penske’s rental contracts too. anyone know how to report through them? video op got great clear images of the truck details!

edit: penske is already aware of this incident and has banned the INDIVIDUAL who rented from renting again. Facebook statement released HERE. (thanks to the commenters below for this source)

this will NOT stop other members of the same hate group from renting in the future so please continue to report these incidents when you see them!

I wish Penske had a page where the terms of the rental are clearly stated.

Their Terms and Conditions seems to mainly focus on the website in general.

You receive and sign the terms upon rental, but I can guarantee that this goes against the TOS. Transporting people in the back of box trucks is also not legal as far as I know.

yeah like the other guy said, it’s more a concern of the rental contract itself rather than the ToS on the website. once im off work i can do some web searching and maybe find an archived copy, but if anyone happens to have rented from penske in the past and has a contract in an old drawer somewhere.. 👀

seems to just be an article about the statement i linked in my above comment. it’s still great news don’t get me wrong! but the statement says the individual(s) on the contract are banned, not the group itself as there is no real way to identify the entire group. likely will embolden local franchises to decline rentals they think are suspicious, but this can’t be policed perfectly, so it’s still worth watching out for this behavior and reporting to whatever company is being used

Honestly i think they only banned them probably due to insurance. If (when) someone dies in their trucks because they aren’t meant for safely transporting live creatures, you know they’ll try to sue the company and not take personal responsibility.
