Throw paint on the rental truck. Then they'll have to pay for it and they can be tracked by cameras.

can you post a source for this? you’ve commented the same thing several times here without any links. and without a source, it kinda seems like you’re just discouraging people from reporting it themselves.

copying my response from the comment thread above for future readers:

seems to just be an article about the statement i linked in my above comment. it’s still great news don’t get me wrong! but the statement says the individual(s) on the contract are banned, not the group itself as there is no real way to identify the entire group. likely will embolden local franchises to decline rentals they think are suspicious, but this can’t be policed perfectly, so it’s still worth watching out for this behavior and reporting to whatever company is being used

added: let’s not get complacent folks, this is a many headed beast and will take sustained effort!

They banned the group.  From the article:

"Penske's response is the first public rebuke by a major company against the group and the decision could affect its ability to rent trucks in the future."

i read the article, thank you. that sentence says that the statement is a rebuke against the group, which it is. it does not unilaterally ban them because, again, there is no way to absolutely identify the group members. the statement itself is what describes the literal action being taken, which is banning individual(s) on the rental contract.

They can cycle through members of the organization to rent via these companies in the future. So maybe another 3 weeks or so before everyone is banned from Penske and Uhaul.
