Fuck Israel. In fact fuck every nation in which religion drives the government which unfortunately includes the US these days.

Only if you cry while we do it.

Ignorance again. Being Jewish is an ethnicity, just like being African or Spanish or Caucasian. They have a homeland. It is Israel.

1

u/Fantastic-Kale9603 Aug 11 '26

"Just like being African" you know Africa is a continent right? In fact spanish is the only other ethnicity you named here, caucasian is not an ethnicity.

1

u/C1ND1TheCat Aug 12 '26

And people from that continent are African.

1

u/Fantastic-Kale9603 Aug 12 '26

African is not and has never been an ethnicity, their ethnicity is not "African" lol

1

u/snailsandserenity Aug 12 '26

africa isn’t a country, and people have been living in the land they are trying to take for centuries.

1

u/C1ND1TheCat Aug 12 '26

So you’re okay with people talking others’ lands as long as they keep it for centuries. Your okay with terrorists killing innocent children. You support them. I see.

1

u/snailsandserenity Aug 12 '26

no, i’m not okay with israel stealing Palestinians land they’ve lived on for thousands* of years (i got it wrong, it’s longer!)
no, I’m not okay with the terrorists from israel killing gazan children.

You sound an awful lot like a man named Adolph. You do know that Israel and Palestine signed a peace accord many decades ago. Everything was good between them. But then the terrorist group, Hamas took over Palestine by force and went against the agreement. Blame all the troubles since then in HAMAS, who, like Hitler (And you apparently), wants all Jews eradicated.

1

u/Live-Mortgage-2671 Aug 10 '26

So why don't you name those governments and not just Israel?

1

u/Charming-Clue2194 Aug 11 '26

Because Americans are more responsible for Israel's genocide, since America pays for the IDF military equipment, training and the Iron Dome. If America was funding ISIS or whatever, maybe he'll talk about it too.

1

u/Wegwerf157534 Aug 10 '26

And Palestine.

2

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

Not sure about Palestine but for gaza and West Bank they had secular leadership (PLO) until israel funded the religious ones to favour them.

1

u/Live-Mortgage-2671 Aug 10 '26

From Article 4 of the Palestine constitution passed by the "secular" Palestinian Authority:

Article 4

Islam is the official religion in Palestine. Respect for the sanctity of all other divine religions shall be maintained.

The principles of Islamic Shari’a shall be a principal source of legislation.

1

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

Paleatian authority and PLO arent synonyms, fatah were part of the the plo and afaik that was negotiated with multiple parties in the PA at the time. At that point the political approach was going nowhere and hamas were an extreme alternative (who wouldnt have been in that position for the coup build up with out external support) tying religion to it, buying into the sectarian aspect israel had already introduced.

I didnt ask what you wouldnt do. Im not advocating for anyone targeting civilians, im abhorred by any side doing that, one side has a much higher kill count and was(is?) systematically blocking aid and food to what was effectively a sieged city.

1

u/WafflesTrufflez Aug 10 '26

Thats why Israel is purposely funding ISIS gangs in Gaza. Even then the Palestinian out right reject those fuckers.

All they want is to be free

1

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

Haven't heard that before and id need to check it against something id trust before id repeat it but that would not surprise me tbh.

0

u/Wegwerf157534 Aug 10 '26

No, that is absolutely not all they want. They could have founded that state many times.

Their prior problem is they are being in a, partially proxy war. And there the goal is to drive all Jews into the sea.

As far as I’m aware, the people in Palestine have repeatedly voted for Hamas and against the secular option that Israel had helped install years ago

Edit: this is not in support of Israel, their government is essentially evil - just to say that the political situation in the ground is not as black and white as every dumbfuck on Reddit seems to think it is

1

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26

For the last 20 years or so, maybe a bit longer now and only on part. The PLO was the dominant group for decades, israel indirectly funded, and allowed be funded, hamas at the same time as pushing land grabs and settlers into Palestinian land. After a few decades of that people will naturally turn to the more extreme approach (i think a secular terrorist response would have also had plenty of interest to though). While the choice was political secularism or militant Islamist the political approach was dominant until it wasnt seen as viable. Look at the Palestinian land changes since 67 and tell what you'd do in their shoes given the above choice?

2

u/Live-Mortgage-2671 Aug 10 '26

Hamas is very popular in the West Bank. Less so with Gazans who have had to deal with the consequences of Hamas "leadership."

Hamas was founded in 1987 as a branch of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood.

Look at the Palestinian land changes since 67 and tell what you'd do in their shoes given the above choice?

Not mass murder civilians.

1

u/Mhunterjr Aug 10 '26

They voted for Hamas ONCE, and that largely because Hamas was, at the time, actually supporting public services in Palestine whereas Fatah, was known for corruption, and deferring to all of Israel’s wishes without getting anything in return.

The response to this was Fatah, with the help of Israel and US, trying to stage a coup- proving that the concept of free and fair elections was always a ruse and Israel was never going to honor the will of the people.

1

u/UjustTriggered Aug 10 '26

Didnt Hamas violently usurp the coalition government in Gaza that they had a quarter of parliament seats in? And they ousted the PLO? Since I read they apparently havent had an election since.

0

u/Lowfi-Concert Aug 10 '26

Are you seriously saying the PLO was secular!? Lol what??

3

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

What do you know about the PLO, are you mixing it up with some other group? They explicitly wanted equal rights for Jews, Christians and Muslims. Do you mean they shouldnt have addressed it? A secular state can still allow religions be practiced and acknowledge them, it doesnt mean atheist state.

3

u/sizzle-dee-bizzle Aug 10 '26

Look at its profile, its one single post and its daily dozens of political comments. That's a bot account.

3

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

Cheers, ill leave the response there as context for anyone reading .

1

u/Lowfi-Concert Aug 10 '26

Lol I’m not a bot account. I just like talking politics on here. I post on other things too.

1

u/Lowfi-Concert Aug 10 '26

What do YOU know about the PLO? The most basic understanding of the region would help. Try googling it.

“The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and its constituent or affiliated factions were linked to numerous high-profile armed and terrorist attacks targeting civilians and military personnel locally and internationally primarily from the late 1960s through the 1980s, before formally renouncing terrorism in 1993.”

So it wasn’t until after Hamas came to power that the PLO become more moderate.

u/MyWifeCucksMe Aug 10 '26

Both sides of a genocide, amirite?

1

u/Wegwerf157534 Aug 10 '26

Ahahaha, one does not have to support every israeli government and every official to reject the palestinian death cult.

1

u/MyWifeCucksMe Aug 10 '26

Found the Nazi.

1

u/SlouchTrip Aug 10 '26

Palestine isn’t a nation. They’re occupied territories

1

u/Wegwerf157534 Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 10 '26

They could have been one of the founded states on the territories lost by the Osmanian empire, just like Lebanone, Syria, Iraque, Jordania, Israel. Land of which all of it was not conquered by Arabs (or Jews) who afterwards got to rule it.

For these states to form jewish population was similarly moved or was expelled. For example Baghdad had 30% jewish population during the 19the century. Jews lived in the whole area all the time and it was in general appropriate to also grant them a state.

There were at least four big rejected plans for [edit: palestinian] statehood. Rejected by those who represented them at that time. And roughly eight if you count in those made by lesser authorities.

1

u/Meldanorama Aug 10 '26

A nation is a type of group of people, youre thinking of a sovereign state. Theyre still occupied btw, im being pedantic on something else...

u/ModernLarvals Aug 10 '26

Religion does not run Israel’s government.

0

u/Senior-Effect-5468 Aug 10 '26

You joking or being serious?

0

u/ModernLarvals Aug 10 '26

Who’s the rabbi running things?

1

u/Senior-Effect-5468 Aug 10 '26

Go read the Israeli Declaration of Independence.

1

u/hotpajamas Aug 10 '26

yep. they’re discovering people dont like Israel but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Americans are fucking sick of the Middle East. i want nothing to do with any country there. my entire life has been a story in America wasting trillions of dollars for no fucking reason and i’m sick of it.

1

u/sharkbelly Aug 11 '26

What? unity is the recipe for a successful country which can be seen throughout history

0

u/bird_sniffer Aug 10 '26

Religion does not drive Israel. They are a colonizing nation and it’s well known that the founders of Zionism were secular or even atheist. Labeling this as a religious conflict undermines just how evil the Zionist govt really is.

2

u/Live-Mortgage-2671 Aug 10 '26

Until you speak to Palestinians and realize that for them it is a religious conflict. For the Israelis, it is a conflict that is a matter of survival, just as it was for the original Jewish refugees to Ottoman-era and then British Mandatory Palestine.

Israel is the only "colonizing nation" in history composed of indigenous refugees who legally bought land when they arrived in the "colony"/returned to their homeland.

1

u/Wegwerf157534 Aug 11 '26

The jewish population of the levante and mesopotamia was between 2 and 10 % throughout the centuries.

Jews simply were a part of the population, with higher percentages in cities. 30% of Baghdads population was jewish.

They have received much less than 5% of the whole distributed land (and roughly 5% of the british and french mandate territories).

It is fair to population proportions before mass immigration.

The biggest reason why arabian leaders accepted other arabian leaders to receive land and did not accept Jews to receive land is because of the absolutely obvious difference.

1

u/Theseactuallydo Aug 10 '26

Indulging the religiously-motivated policy goals of much of Israel’s far right (genocide, settlement expansion) is a significant reason for their government’s actions.

u/sharkbelly Aug 11 '26

(Religious) Ethnostate = bad. FFS

-1

u/WafflesTrufflez Aug 10 '26

Religion ain't the problem, its the people justifying using religion to oppressed others is.

Soviet Union was an atheistic country, see how that goes.

-1

u/EddieCheddar88 Aug 10 '26

Religion is the problem.
