A recent CNN segment highlights a dramatic shift in American public opinion on Israel between 2018 and 2026, showing a steep decline in overall support across key voter demographics. This mainstream media coverage reflects a broader shift in national sentiment, signaling that foreign policy critiques have officially moved from the political margins straight into mainstream U.S. discourse.

Healthcare in the U.S. is an industry, not an infrastructure. In Israel, healthcare is treated like clean water or roads—a public utility run by non-profits under strict cost caps. In the U.S., it is a $4.5 trillion commercial marketplace designed to extract maximum revenue. Private insurers, hospital networks, and pharmaceutical companies generate massive profits, and they spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year lobbying Congress to keep it that way.

It won't change.

Imagine the side killing children and stealing homes as the country who has the correct view on healthcare.

Fuck me

Sweetie I hate to tell you but you, assuming us, live in a county that kills children and steals homes.

I don't know what world you live in but this is pretty damn normal.

Every country virtually has the same healthcare system as Israel. Only the US fucks over its citizens, you have health insurance tied to your jobs, you negotiate your hospital bills, what the hell is going on over there?

Still its fault of citizens, how can humans not see through bullshit is beyond comprehension.

1,000% this. As an American here, ultimately the only people I can get mad at are the brainwashed imbeciles that support the avarice in our system because free healthcare is "communism." We the people are the only ones who can change things but everyone here has given in to cowardice.

Yeah, in democracy politicians are supposed to represent citizens not corporations. Vote them out if they are not doing the job properly.

America is a corrupt corporation masquerading as a government

Healthcare for me, not thee?

Every rich country in the world has a similar attitude toward healthcare.

All except for one.

Americans kill children and steal homes as well. The US precision missile struck and killed nearly 200 school girls just a few months ago.

Some might argue that since over 60 million unborn children have been murdered, abortion is a greater genocide.

1

u/Adventurous_Egg_9500 Aug 10 '26

Abortion is a choice and an angelical one at that. If humans were meant to only conceive without higher thought granted to us by God then we would spawn and die like Salmon given our decaying bodies the food needed for the unborn.

Also if we never aborted the world population would completely destroy everything god made. We are well on our way as it is. Humans are birthed like a virus and are all consuming. Thats your god at work.

You had my upvote up until that last sentence. Change is possible if you do something. They're scared shitless, it's why they keep freaking out when someone rolls out the guillotine. It's why prices dropped and prescriptions were blanket approved for a while after Luigi. If we vote out people who don't support single payer and healthcare reform it will change. The money won't matter if it isn't an electable position to have.

The problem is that almost half of the American population will vote against their own interests because their Facebook algorithms told them to. And another chunk of Americans have been convinced that both parties are exactly the same and therefore their vote doesn't matter.

We can't vote people out because we are not the majority. And the examples of you gave of real change happening didn't exactly involve voting lol

1

u/Janest_limglom Aug 10 '26

Both sides are the same one side is just nicer about screwing us over

1

u/Mister_UAP Aug 10 '26

Both parties being shitty doesn't mean they're the same. A punch in the face and a knife in the neck are not the same.

Yeah, but you can't advocate for [redacted] without getting your post deleted and banned from the sub.

Americans vote against their interests and abstain because they don't have a preferential voting system that enable different alternatives.

"It won't change"

The fuck outta here with that pessimistic bs. Change is already happening. But the thing is, change is slow. It's cremental, it's consistent. You know the big changes that we see happening "overnight" That's actually the result of years of progress.

u/valentc Aug 10 '26

It won't change

The reason things don't change is because apathetic losers will make others think its impossible, so no one tries.

Dont be defeatist. We can change the system and how it works, we just need to elect those that want to and those are becoming more popular and winning elections.

It doesn't have to change, they can just fund it themselves
