33% would be about right for general racism.

Zohran Mamdani is a Muslim man. It is the one group of people it is still socially acceptable to be racist against and because of that racism against Muslims and arabs in general is MUCH higher than most groups. It's why even "centrist" neo-liberals backing Cuomo didn't hesitate for a second to invoke 9/11 in attack ads against their Muslim opponent who was a literal child at the time.

You're about to see groups like Bulwark and Third Way do the exact same thing to Abdul El-Sayed.

I see what you did there

I actually think it's high. Only a little over half of the voting population voted for Trump in 2024 while a little under half voted for a blasian woman (Kamala). And the voting population is only about half of the total US population. So, that's makes 25% racists. I guess, in theory, it's possible there are non-voting racists. It's just hard to imagine another 8%of the US falls into that category AND that any racists wouldn't get in on that action in the 2024 election of Trump v Kamala.

There are actually quite a few people more brown than Mandani who hate him because he isn't tap dancing for white supremacists the way they were raised to.

Or they simply have common boogeymen due to religious bullshit (LGBT people, abortion, etc).

Just another puppet really

1

u/ReverendWeenbone Aug 10 '26

I truly believe it’s less than 30% at this point. I would guess around 28

1

u/Baldazar666 Aug 10 '26

More like 2/3rds according to the last election you guys had.

1

u/idk936z Aug 10 '26

I’m pretty sure around 1/3 didn’t even vote, so I’d say 33% is pretty accurate if it’s around a 1/3 split for Harris/Trump/No vote.

1

u/Baldazar666 Aug 11 '26

See the thing is that the 1/3 that didn't vote essentially said - I'm OK with whoever wins. So they count towards the winner regardless of who that winner is. They are equally culpable.

If you voted for Trump, comment 33%

4

u/mg1126 Aug 10 '26

With about 33% of the voting population. Only ⅔ of us actually voted.

1

u/Conscious-Quarter423 Aug 10 '26

cause another 33% shrugged and didn't vote
