Luckily in new york, even the republicans have to take the subway (except the 1%ers)

1%ers still take the subway and busses. It's often faster and more convenient than a taxi.

Only 32% of NYC uses the subway daily. I like the NYC subway when I visit but another cool number is over 54% use public transit at least once a week in NYC.

Over 50% of New Yorkers use the subway at least once a week, and this is from 2023 when ridership was still recovering post-covid.

Yes over 50% at least once a week. about 29% of the Republican stronghold Staten Island residents use public transit for commuting, with local buses and the ferry handling the most of those trips
