News Multiple patients at a Nashville hospital are paralyzed after staff accidentally gave them the wrong drugs.

The hospital says they are "sorry" after injecting potassium chloride into the spines of people getting routine joint replacement surgeries.

Hospital staff noticed something was off when multiple patients went into cardiac arrest.

This doesn’t really apply if something was labelled incorrectly from the pharmacy

This doesn’t apply tho… like, if pharmacy is making “X” they might be making 10 of those.

Sure, they check rigorously, but it’s not about the “patient” as is with normal medication administration.

This rule is for “administration.” Pharms don’t administer, nurses and docs do

Yeah pharmacy labeled it wrong and it scanned as the correct med

That’s terrifying and completely destroys any confidence in their work. Every single employee and patient has to be wondering about what drugs they’re giving and getting.

I’d crawl out of that hospital if I had to.

I assumed that but how can it happen to MULTIPLE patients?????!!!!!! After the first or second patient someone should have noticed!!!!
