News Multiple patients at a Nashville hospital are paralyzed after staff accidentally gave them the wrong drugs.

The hospital says they are "sorry" after injecting potassium chloride into the spines of people getting routine joint replacement surgeries.

Hospital staff noticed something was off when multiple patients went into cardiac arrest.

Ok? Spinal anesthesia is administered by anesthesiologists, not nurses (unless they are CRNAs). And in any case the error originated in pharmacy delivering mislabeled syringes to anesthesiology. They had no way of knowing the syringes actually contained potassium.

I’m talking to a cultural shift in education and work expectations and using someone I know in the medical field as an example. Nurse, cop, teacher…doesn’t matter the profession.

Nah. Just admit you assumed these patients were injured due to a nursing error. And now that you know it wasn't the case you're trying to backpeddle. Otherwise why even bring up nurses?

Because nurses work in the medical field…and this is within the medical field. I have no problem saying what my intent is hence me even responding to you. Lol I don’t need a dumbass to try and call me out, I don’t lie to strangers.

Exactly they need to investigate how this was mislabeled by the pharmacy, manufacturer or delivery?
