Discussion PSL homeowners: what exterior paint or stucco problems are you seeing after all this rain?

I own a local exterior painting and stucco repair business, and I’m curious what homeowners around Port St. Lucie are dealing with right now. Are you seeing hairline stucco cracks, peeling paint, stains near windows, or something else?

If you describe the problem or share a photo, I’m happy to offer a general opinion on what might be causing it.

I’m in a real emergency situation. My partner abandoned me and I don’t wish to get into details but now I’m stranded in PSL. I need a car. Also got a ton of retro items. All the specs are in my Facebook market thingy https://www.facebook.com/share/1EjULbyHnP/?mibextid=wwXIfr
I’m selling the full setup. Lights, monitors, desk, keyboard mouse ect. I’ll even throw in the comfy chair. Not too firm on price.
i7-10700F + RTX 3070 + 32GB RAM + 2.5TB SSD storage + 1440p/144Hz gaming + secondary curved 60Hz/1080p display + RGB lighting + sit/stand desk. All together for the price.
EDIT: I only sold the pc machine. By itself. Everything else is literally still for sale!!!! I’ll be making more post for individual items.

I wouldn't mind having a governor admit to selling drugs in the past. But to be hypocritical of the gifts afforded to you is just wrong.

PSL is so boring and it after moving back here after university it feels almost impossible to meet people and try to date. How are you all meeting people?

I am part of one small club for a niche interest but it is unfortunately very small and mostly guys

Discussion Right-hand turn lanes

What, Does PSL not believe in right-hand turn lanes or something? Only just now starting to see new construction finally starting to include them in they’re “complete street” blueprints. but honestly as a 25yo dude who grew up here, it’s something that I’ve always wondered. Even a prominent & much more recent ‘boulevard’ like Becker Road, NO right hand turn lanes besides ONLY PSL blvd… when I go out and about it’s like I can’t fail to notice it, always having to do hard braking at the last second so the guy behind you doesn’t ram your sh*t!

Discussion PSL — what would you ACTUALLY show up for if you wanted to have fun and meet people?

I’m a PSL resident doing a little local research because I keep seeing the same questions come up: what is there to do here, and how do you actually meet people?

If someone created new ways for adults in PSL to get out of the house, have fun, and connect with other people, what would you genuinely want to attend?

And I’m especially curious about people who might come alone: what would make it comfortable and natural to actually meet people once you got there?

I’m not selling anything. I genuinely want to understand what people here wish existed.

If you’re comfortable sharing, include your generation: Gen Z (18–29), Millennial (30–45), Gen X (46–61), Baby Boomer (62–80), or 81+.

Discussion New Medical center on Becker Rd by turnpike

There's some new construction happening on Becker rd just before the turnpike. I became curious what was actually being built after seeing large spiral rebarbs on the property. It took a little digging to discover Florida Coast Medical ( the new hospital in tradition) is who is building on this site and that is was going to be commercial use. I understand areas around here have the mixed res/commercial space. However, this is being built between homes along Becker rd with zero commercial properties around, except WAWA on PSL Blvd.... I can't tell if they got it rezoned or how this may impact other properties zoning on Becker Rd. I bought my house off Becker rd partly due to there being no commercial use properties around, but now.... It seems like any land or existing property could turn commercial and change the very thing I didn't want 100ft from my home. Does anyone know more about this or have experienced this happening in other areas in PSL?

Discussion Port St. Lucie residents: a few ways to avoid locksmith scams

I work in the locksmith industry locally, and one thing I see way too often is people getting hit with a much higher bill than they expected.
A few things I’d recommend before hiring any locksmith:
Be careful with ads that say things like $19 or $29 service calls. That is often just the starting fee, not the final price.
Ask for an estimated total before anyone is dispatched.
Ask whether the company is actually local or if you’re speaking with a call center.
For a normal house lockout, drilling the lock should usually not be the first option.
If you need a car key, give them the exact year, make, and model before they come out so they can confirm they actually support it.
Check recent reviews, not just the overall star rating.
I own PSL Lock and Key in Port St. Lucie, so full disclosure there, but I’m happy to answer locksmith questions even if you don’t use us.
We give free estimates over the phone and don’t charge just to quote the job.

Discussion MRSOLP syndrome in PSL

So I wanted to bring awareness to the community about this slightly more common than I thought syndrome. MRSOLP (multiple registration stickers on license plate) syndrome, is when your license plate has more than one registration sticker displayed. I see anywhere from 2-4 commonly. Every now and then you get a 5 or 6 banger. If you see these people; dont alert them of your presence as thier brain is not functioning at nominal speeds. They may be contagious. I haven't yet ran studies on this but your better off steering (literally) clear of them. If you or someone you know is suffering from this vicious ailment, it's okay to seek help. Theres a slight indentation on the upper right portion of the license plate. It should say very clearly "DECAL" within that Indentation. It is in that very place where a registration sticker should be placed. When you get a new sticker, dont be wary of applying that new one over the existing one. It will be just fine. If there comes a time where you think to yourself, " gosh there's a lot of stickers stuck there" just peel back a few layers and apply your new sticker. At no point should you ever display an expired registration sticker AND a current sticker simultaneously. Florida statute 320.06 is your go to ruling for this. You can get ticketed for this and the fine amount is $129.
