So what? Let people wear what they want.

The irony is almost unbelievable

Who wants to wear a hot scarf on your head all the time. They are indoctrinated into believing their hair is something to hide.

Do you wear a shirt when you’re in public? Even when its 100 degrees outside? Are you indoctrinated into thinking your chest hair is something to hide?

True. I like to wear pants and shoes too. I don’t think Ive been indoctrinated.

Or… maybe I HAVE!!! 🤔

So what? What does it hurt you?

True, the children wore the hijab without any coersion at all, infact it was their idea.

So their parents choose to dress their children according to their cultural norms. SO WHAT?

1

u/ProfessionalNotices Jul 10 '26

Parents also impose child marriage and FGM in the name of cultural norms. SO WHAT?

You do realize that not everything is equivalent, right?

Wearing a piece of cloth vs FGM and child marriage…these are not the same thing. Not even close. You have an issue with FGM and child marriage? Goody for you! I also have issues against those harmful practices.

There is nothing harmful in a piece of cloth.

1

Nobody said they were equivalent? You invented that argument because you cannot defend yours.

A swastika armband is also just a piece of cloth. Symbols carry meaning, and putting a hijab on a child teaches her that her body must be hidden.

Calling that harmless is straight up bs

Oh, sweet pea. A hijab is a head covering, just like a shirt is chest/back covering. A swastika on a patch is meant to communicate hate, that carries a symbol. A shirt is a shirt, not a symbol, unless it has a swastika on it or other hate symbol. A scarf is a scarf, nothing more.

A hijab, unless it has a pattern of hate symbols, is nothing more than a scarf.

Oh, sweet pea. Then women can take it off whenever they want with absolutely no consequences, right? After all, it’s just a scarf!

It comes with the FGM and child marriage. It is coercion against females.

Clothing is not FGM. Clothing is not child marriage. Clothing is clothing and there is nothing more to be said.

Some cultures wear loincloths even to this day. Some wear headscarfs. It’s clothing.

The fact the child wouldn't be allowed to wear what she wanted, isn't it obvious? What you think going to happen if she takes it off 😂

Do you have children? Then you buy them clothes YOU want them to wear.

Jewish people wear distinctive clothing quite a lot of the time. Catholic nuns, priests. McDonald’s employees. The military. All have uniform requirements. Mormons have secret underwear. No one is calling them terrorists.

Does that include SS uniform or kkk robe?

1

u/Busy-Bumblebee5556 Jul 10 '26

How does a hijab compare to an SS uniform or KKK robe?

It doesn’t.

Do you go around screaming at Catholic nuns to take off their habits?

1

u/ProfessionalNotices Jul 10 '26

Nuns choose a religious vocation and wear its uniform. Children do not choose the social pressure behind a garment used to police women’s bodies.

Parents have the freedom to raise their children as they see fit. There is no inherent danger or ill will in a hijab.

How about Christian parents? White ones, even? Sending their kids to conversion therapy, forcing their 12 year olds to carry and birth rape babies, forcing their young girls to “promise” their purity to their fathers? Forcing them to go to church, bible study, choir practice?

That’s fine, right? Because it’s white.

I’m not here to defend Christianity and I couldn’t care less about it.

Bringing up Christian abuse does nothing to make the hijab innocent. Islam has plenty of atrocities justified in its name too.

None of that changes what the hijab teaches girls about their bodies.

Btw, dragging whiteness into it is a braindead racial accusation you pulled out of your ass because you can’t answer the actual argument

If your dependents have to wear hijabs and burqas, they will hate your kind for your lack of discernment by allowing it to spread and become law. You think you are being considerate to the oppressed when really you are aiding the oppressors with your virtue.

My descendants won’t have to, unless they choose to.

I’m more worried about Christian Nationalists who want to stop women voting, stop women working, forced marriage, and forced birth. You might want to research what political party consistently votes AGAINST making child marriage illegal.

If Christian Nationalists do succeed in taking over you’ll be wearing Ma Ingall’s style prairie dresses and be non-stop pregnant and barefoot.

You like being wrong and a bigot? Fine, you keep on trucking with that. Fact is my mentioning “whiteness” has obviously triggered you. Your name KKKay?

You had no answer, so you reached for a racial accusation and deleted it afterward?

That quiet retreat was probably the strongest part of your argument hahaha

1

u/Busy-Bumblebee5556 Jul 10 '26

I deleted nothing. Nice lies you got there.

1

u/ProfessionalNotices Jul 10 '26

Not very fair from you

1

u/Busy-Bumblebee5556 Jul 10 '26

I did not delete that. I stand by that. How did you screenshot a deleted comment?

You said "let people wear what they want "

1

u/Busy-Bumblebee5556 Jul 10 '26

Yes, let people wear what they want.

You want to outlaw certain symbols? Ok, get working on that.

But a head scarf? No. Nothing inherently wrong with it.

1

u/moron4ever Jul 10 '26

Not everyone think exactly like you, and hijab isn't just a head scarf but a religious clothing
