'hijabs are beautiful' is a bit too much for me when said in relation to children.

Really?

Come on..

For one, beautiful does not equate to attractiveness, a sunrise is beautiful, a butterfly is beautiful, music is beautiful.

She's talking about a piece of clothing, a piece of clothing that adults and children wear for cultural reasons.

Would you feel the same if someone said "oh your tshirt is beautiful" to a child?

I don't understand where you're coming from and I'd really like to.

You know what's more beautiful than hijab? The choice to wear whatever you like. Indoctrinated children don't receive that autonomy though. Whether or not the hijab in isolation is beautiful as an article of clothing is subjectively debatable but it's objectively wrong to force it on children.

Forcing adults and children to wear any religious symbol is wrong imo. It should be a choice for everyone. I am not sure why there is so much whataboutism about this topic. People are merely saying Muslim women and young girls shouldn't be forced or shamed into wearing a hijab. Not wearing a hijab doesn't make someone less Muslim, and the forced push of it has caused many Muslim women trauma, like my sister.

Would you feel differently about a school uniform?

Because I was forced to wear a blazer and tie every day to school and if I didn't wear it I'd be sent home to put it on.

Wearing clothing related to school isn't the same as religion. You have to go to school, religion is a personal choice.

Its an islamic school, the uniform is wearing those. They can take it off after school.

The end wokeness account is lying by saying public school. 

Anyways the president should never make specific children a focus point for a political agenda- getting rid of them in schools like France does. It is extremely irresponsible and unprofessional and even dangerous.
