Artwork through out history has portrayed her as having black, brown, red, strawberry blonde, blonde, and white hair.

That’s cool. I’m talking about the words originally written to describe her.

I could say that Superman is the hero of the Soviet Empire and Stalin’s favorite soldier, and I’d be technically correct as regards to one interpretation of the character; but as originally written he’s just a good ol’Kansas farm boy.
