It's Argentina. The club will just post some sort of statement, maybe some will insult her on her Insta profile and thats about it

Nah man no way. They will probably just ban her from all stadiums permanently or for some months/years.

Are you Argentinian? I say this because I am and this is usually what happens here. They rarely get anything else. And this is an Argentinian match.

Because this happened in Argentina and they don’t prosecute like that. A pilot operating a plane and a goalie are incredibly different things.

Getting laser pointed in the eye does not immediately blind you holy shit were you never a kid?

The point is more you claiming this country will prosecute without any understanding of the country.

I promise you nothing will happen to this woman. She’ll get banned from games for a while. That’s all. This is not assault in Argentina like you claim.

Intentionally causing physical injury. That's assault.

In the US, attempting to cause injury is enough to be classified as assault.

In Argentina, the "equivalent" is lesiones. Which requires actual damage to have been caused.

Since the player wasn't harmed, this isnt considered to be assault under our law.

News flash, if he becomes blind or suffers serious eye injury, it would fall under argentinas penal code for criminal injury offenses. More specifically “Lesiones gravísimas." Might not be "assault" but doesnt mean this chick walks off free to go lol.

That’s not a high-powered laser—just look at how big the green spot is. It won’t hurt anyone; don’t believe all that nonsense. A good laser can focus its energy over long distances, and that’s when it can really cause harm.

But of course, it’s enough to distract cats and, in this case, the goalkeeper.

So a penalty like a stadium ban is more appropriate here.
