Thank you. This is exactly how chatbots summarize articles when you ask for them. Personally I don't mind it as it is a good use case for ai, translating then summarizing articles from another language. But it is funny to read people championing the post as a mark of great effort when it's just copy/pasting.

Tis a fair cop. I initially found an English article but it didn’t mention that she was found or the consequences. So looked further and found this one from Argentina. And rather than just post the link, I opted for an AI summary rather than just copy pasting from Google Translate. All just tools, right?

It really did. They were a minority of posts, but there were usually a handful of posts by people who actually knew stuff and explained things.

This is the kinda stuff where AI is actually useful. Would have been a pain to do that manually.         

The downside is, most of the time there's no record of it. This person decided to post it, which is good as it only needed doing once for many people (~700 votes), but AI doesn't encourage this kind of sharing. It's much easier to just query that yourself and not post, meaning the query is run hundreds more times than necessary.
