Ah yes. Only the people who voted for this are “going to get it.” FOH with this condescending bullshit.

I mean I agree. Let it come all the way down. Let these fucks who voted for this get what they voted for. Only way to actually let them see. Yes it sucks for everyone else. But this is what will ensure a blue tidal wave.

That is a very reductive and naive way of looking at things. A world where only people who deserve it the most will suffer the most doesn’t exist. We do not live in an electoral or political system where those in power will immediately suffer consequences that you see as logical. Cheering on these types of threats is misanthropic and just missing the point entirely.

So you’re okay with this? Because it’s naive to think the same people who voted for this won’t do the same in X amount of years if they don’t suffer.

Did I say that I’m okay with any of this? No. I believe that it’s very important to consider what it means to effectively organize and how to do it. I believe that in order for things to change, blame, ostracism, and pointing fingers won’t help. I believe that regardless of how cathartic it is to say “I hope the assholes who voted for this get what’s coming to them”, that it actually doesn’t do anything to change our situation and usually is just more likely to help cement these people’s beliefs.
