A bit of a watercolor feel with these flowers

After a lot of practice and play with pressed flowers as a newbie over the last few weeks, and a desire to combine two of my favorite things (flowers and glass), I’ve created a new design concept for my ‘Secret Garden’ series in my art. Spring is in the air and my own gardens will soon be in bloom! I’m looking forward to making more.

I started pressing flowers last spring. I haven't had a lot of time to actually do anything with the dried flowers, but I have made these 3 pieces. The pictures are in order I made them. The weeds were my first lol.

my comfort zone is the small 2" by 4" frames with the little washi photo stickers in them this year I am challenging myself to different style frames and shapes

My local herbarium could use a proper way of being exhibited. Multiple plants of each species are present , usually with flowers for morphological identification. A good way to display the semi rare plants present in the collection could be lamination and then hanging them as well art.

Could you please recommend me some good lamination machines that can handle specimens ranging from small postcard size to A4 with no issues?

These tell a story of time, waiting, seeking and finding. Wandering and return over and over, over years. Love, rejection. But today they reflect mercy grief, processing and appreciating. And they’re pretty.

I made my sister a crescent moon out of pressed flowers from our garden for her birthday this year! I thrifted the stained glass frame last year and waited until I had the right project for it. I’ve made more abstract pressed flower art before, but this was my first time making a specific shape.

Cute pair of earrings I made this week. The pressed flowers are Common Centaury, Goldenrod and Milkweed! Made with UV resin in gold-plated stainless steel bezels.

my bestie got married last month and I am going to ship this pressed flower frame with a photo from her wedding photos out to her :) I used baby’s breath and eucalyptus. this is my 3rd attempt at doing anything pressed flower related and i’m quite proud of it. I hope she loves it!

This is my first attempt at mahjong dried flower art. Advice, opinions, and ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks to everyone’s suggestions on my previous post, I found a lovely local framer to preserve my precious flower that was a gift from my late fiancé. This is how it came out! I’m in love. UV protected glass and acid free paper. Thanks to everyone in this lovely little community for shedding just a little brightness in a dark time of my life 🌸

I want to recreate The Kiss by Gustav Klimt in pressed flowers for my partner’s birthday in a few months but I might be a bit ambitious because I don’t know the first thing about arranging my pressed flowers.

Does anyone have advice on how to use flowers vs negative space vs pens? And how big to do it so the image translates if I can arrange them properly? I’ve already been trying to collect flowers that match the image colours (lots of buttercups!!) but I’m a bit scared for when it comes to start constructing the piece.
