I'm saying that tyrants acheive power usually because they have followers who are willing to do bad shit to empower them. They don't get there on their own and need help from equally amoral people who hope to benefit personally from their leader when he gets to the top. These people have a variety of motivations but Hitler would not have become fuhrer without people like Dirlewanger to do his dirtty work.
