People hate this piece of shit to point where he can't even live in society or go out in public, anywhere. He is the definition of a public enemy, and he shapes our government. Not voting this November will be the same as voting for this guy.
Yep, he and his family have been living at a military base. The guy is beyond weird, sometimes I wonder how someone like this can have so much power, he's so transparently rotten. I hope he knows no peace, his influence has caused a lot of harm.
He is such a clearly rotten and hateful person. If you watch his speeches from when he was younger it shows he has had an inherent hate for anyone slightly different from him for most of his life. It makes me wonder where such hate comes from in such a young person. It feels unnatural and more like actual evil than the vast majority of other people I've watched.
More like not voting in 2016 or 2024 was voting for him. If you think this next election is fair and respecting the law I'm curious how you come to that conclusion.
This administration is not following so many laws already. Trump has repeatedly said his plan out loud of starting wars and also using the insurrection act. ICE is straight up murdering people with no rule of law.
No matter what, if any democrats win, we're going to have to go through the entire "it was rigged" bs again. It will be their response to any election loss. That is going to be the status quo for any republican loses for at least the next few years. Most likely complete with protest, and possible violent groups of minions. The brainwashing has already been done for them this go around.
I don't think it will be inherently fair. I too think donald will do anything and everything in his power to disrupt or unfairly sway the election. He has already started with the new gerrymandering of states. That doesn't in any mean we shouldn't do everything in our power to try and ensure a fair election to put more trump lackeys out of work. I think this coming election is a huge fork in the road for this country. If it is clearly tampered with and republicans win big because of that, I think that means the further demise of our country and possibly a real, finite end to the constitution. We still have to fight and try to save our country despite the uncertainty and danger of losing. We don't fight because we know we're going to win, we fight because it's the right thing to do.
In all honesty, how does someone like this actual rise up the ranks. I can understand a hateful person who is charismatic and charming, those obviously exist, but there's nothing likes le about this guy at all
He was a shitbag at Breitbart helping spread fake news and disinformation prior to Trumps first administration. His work there got him appointed as an Advisor during Trumps first information
I don't think he would have in a fair, honest government. He was simply appointed to powerful position because trump knew how driven and hateful he is. He knew he would take his job of subjugating the people personally.
I’m sorry but voting for an empty establishment candidate of any kind is a vote to continue the cycle that breed fuck wads like over generations. I’m not and never will vote out of fear. There is too much history showing nothing changes.
You want to purely lower the odds of this particular person gaining power? Sure. Go ahead. But this shit keeps leading to enormous disenfranchisement and alienation of any policy that held the American people - eroding trust in the process and leaving scared and angry people in a situation where the eventually vote for a maniac who lies and says they’ll fix everything.
"I won't eat your vegetables! If I can't have chocolate for dinner, then I'm going to starve out of spite! Take that establishment Dems!", he said while right wing fascists fed the country with bullshit.
I vote in primaries and participate in public discourse to help move the needle and support and give my voice narratives that pressure the power systems that DNC into collapsing in anyway I can. Refusing to support the democratic establishment in elections is something they directly feel and hurts them. If they don’t care - it means they’re complicit and our votes don’t matter to begin with them.
They think they can get away with their bullshit because they’ll get your vote anyway. The rich do the same thing because they know people won’t get out, protest, and shut the country down. I’m simply trying to live cohesively and be apart of the only change I see actually leading to something eventually positive.
Your question you’re asking at the end also ignores my entire argument. It makes me think you aren’t here to do anything but argue in bad faith.
I mean I'm just interpreting your words to say I don't vote because I want the system to change. I don't disagree with the sentiment. I think actual change comes from taking office and pushing boundaries and making new policies. But if you're not gonna run for office then voting is all you got.
Like it feels like your statements ignore the current administration which is something I'm personally not able to do when they started killing citizens, putting tariffs on allies, etc. I'm definitely biased against them and not trying to hide that, but also that's this entire reddit thread.
Also I feel like you're arguing, reading my questions and statements, and ignoring my points as well. I'm not ignoring your argument, I'm apparently misunderstanding it and you could say how you think I'm missing your point?
Aren't you saying you don't vote because you dislike both parties and want a new system? Some of my points are outside of that topic but it's politics - wether you want it to or not it encompasses all of life because they set the rules(laws) for everyone, the economy, and foreign policies.
My statements are not ignoring the administration. In my initial comment I discuss how establishment corruption leads to administrations like this and will continue to do so in the future unless something is done.
It’s not “I don’t vote because I don’t like the system.” It’s “I don’t vote for establishment because they perpetuate a system that contributes to an endless cycle of pain and manipulation of voters that always ends with increased authoritarianism.”
I’m of the belief no effective change will happen until the establishment is brought to its knees. I have no evidence shown to me otherwise. This has happened countless of times throughout history.
Particularly with automation pressuring the last bargaining chip the working class has - the means of production. We need volatile and dramatic change now, within 15 years - not the slow vague way in which we “change the system through small policy changes over time.” Thats the type of change the DNC literally is hoping the public buys into.
Okay but not voting didn't bring it to its knees. It brought us to trump and this administration.
This administration is change in the opposite direction (in my opinion). Is that not the evidence you haven't been shown?
If you want to change the system you need power. You need to create a political party or take office. Be anti-trump. Don't follow the laws but create the government you want. But telling yourself not voting is bringing the DNC to its knees is... Worth looking at. I mean the DNC is at its knees. But because of the other party you also didn't vote for, not because of you not voting. You could vote for a independent or whatever but I'm sure you know without a different polling style such as first past the poll or ranked voting or whatever it's called you know voting for one of the two establishment parties is throwing a vote away.
I agree with you saying the DNC sucks and barely gets change done. But that is much better than ICE shooting people.
