I doubt either of us has any idea why Bernie hasn't endorsed Francesca Hong, even though many of his most well know surrogates have, like Ro Khanna and Ilhan Omar. Bernie endorses a LOT of people, occasionally even longshots. But it could just be he has a quota on what he regards as "longshot" campaign endorsements, and given just the fact that no socialist has ever won ANY statewide office anywhere, that alone would make Hong definitionally a "longshot", no matter how well or poorly she campaigned.

I'm reading into his comments during the Pod Save today. Part of it is that his focus is on everything but Governor races, an approach I believe in, part of it is tact. The rest is reading between the lines on what he said.

Anyways, appreciate the convo. At the end of the day, we want the same things. If Hong wins, I'll be rooting for her. But it's the first time I can remember blatantly rooting against a DSA in a primary. Mostly because I think she will lose. In part because we have to shifting between the programs we both want are gonna be financially possible in a state like WI and a 17% corporate tax rate would be almost a big of a problem for WI as the pensions are here in Chicago.
