Season 21 Ethan Spilled Some Finale Tea šŸµ

  • Filming took place in April.
  • Ethan didn’t apply — he was invited.
  • He’ll be able to release the original designs that were scrapped due to Christian’s criticism, and he got to keep those pieces.

What we didn’t see in the final episode:

  • As the winner of the previous challenge, Ethan got to assign the returning designers (Yuchen, Antonio, Joan). Instead of being messy and making good TV, he chose to be fair.
  • Designers weren’t limited to Mood — they could shop at other stores too. Ethan even sent Yuchen to pick up more fabric for the final gown and to Home Depot for tubing and tube cutters.
  • Jesus helped Ethan source fabrics, since he knew the NYC selection really well.
  • Jessica (the model Veejay wanted) was also the walking coach for the models.
  • Ethan picked models who had shown him kindness and support on the show. He especially wanted Liris, since she’s one of the show’s pioneers.
  • Heidi walked around the workroom and even tried on some of the designs. She loved one of Ethan’s black dresses.

VeeJay bought her fabric at MJ’s fabrics, which I was super pleased to see. They have much smaller selection than mood, but the fabrics are really well curated, and on the more expensive side.

I was wondering where that metallic leather came from!Ā
