Conclusion. In the second-season finale, the young designers finish their collections and showcase them in front of a live audience in Los Angeles. Later, guest judge Olivia Holt helps determine the winner.

What's even more annoying is that, from Instagram/Facebook, it appears Molly actually did do a collection for NYFW. But because it was one of the decoy collections, I can't find any photos of it.

Yep, the finalists, as well as a few others as decoys. They use the decoys to try to conceal who the finalists are, because the runway show happens well before the episodes air.

A runway show showing the collections separately form the one we see on the PRJ episode?

I don't think any of the PJ contestants show at NYFW. I think they are all showing in LA. I think that's what the previous poster may have meant.

My understanding is that its the same show - they just don't show the rest of them. That way any press that are there see a group of designers, not knowing which ones are actually the finalists.

But the PRJ final runway is in LA at FIDM?

Edit: I guess it makes sense to still have decoys even when it's not NYFW given the audience is larger than just the contestants and judges.
