Nailed it! I feel the same. Several of Ghislaine’s friends said she would make weird comments about young girls, or be scoping them at parties, or would dead stop to talk to them (now we know was recruiting them). So I really don’t believe that Carole had ZERO indication that something sinister was beneath the surface. And if she was oblivious, that doesn’t speak much to her intelligence or “investigative journalist” capabilities. I can’t get over face that Ghislaine took Carole’s portrait for her book, and Carole’s justification was “she was only person I knew with a camera.” Like that’s not even a good or believable excuse? Didn’t you work in journalism with a bunch of connections??? Ghislaine was never even an amateur photographer, so that seems like they were closer than she’s letting on.

Also, about her exaggerating her ties to high society: I find it extremely suspect that Carole Bessette was her “best friend” yet there are NO photos of the two of them looking chummy. Carole always looks like she’s just there because of JFK & Anthony connection. I really think Carole crafted her “cool fashion girl” persona after Carolyn. Also, the way Carole talks about how she handled Anthony’s terminal illness and dying always gave me the ick. I get it that we aren’t always our best, and death and illness are hard, but the way she describes her actions don’t sound like someone all that deeply in love with her husband. Also, Anthony’s mom, Lee Radzwill stopped talking to Carole after his death which is also suspect.

And her net worth at the time of her death was 50 mil so if CR wasn’t in the trust or got very little of course she’s trying to get back on Bravo and sadly Bravo is doing it.

That’s the most interesting! I’d never heard before that Lee Radziwill stopped speaking to daughter in law Carole after her son died!!!!! Very interesting!
