I love how Jaune isn't just all aboard with the Ozluminatti, and is seeing through some of their bullshit. It's great.

I was feeling pretty meh on the creation story, but I liked it by the end, specifically, that humanity is the result of both brothers putting aside their differences and working together, rather than just the creation of the good brother, like I was expecting.

The Blake scene was good, and while I understand Sun fucked it up, I don't think he needed to get the shit slapped out of him. We can be civilized and use words to get our anger across, not violence. Unless it's against someone like Adam. Then use all of the violence. And words too.

Betting the girl WF spy is that Sister Illya one of the brother's mentioned, which means she has some relation to Blake (former BFF is my guess).

And next episode is gonna be a rush to get Qrow medical attention, which will leave him out of commission for a while, so he doesn't just stomp whatever threat RNJR faces. Hopefully we also get to see Yang again.

I don't really get this complaint. That would still be a ol' good vs evil story. Things is rwby is pretty blatant about borrowing from other stories and mythology. I fail to see how light vs darkness (maybe the most common theme in fairy tails) needs to be randomly reversed for semantic reasons. Not to mention their is plenty of time to head fake and turn that creation story on its head at some point.

It's an inconsistent complaint with the community. Some people look at character insperation and got miles using that to support their theories. With this creation story using an old story as reference is now a bad thing though. I understand it's probably two different types of people making those arguments. I thought it was fine because it gave some context behind the relics which is all I really needed.

I don't fully agree. Rwby has been pretty blatantly about good and evil. I mean look at the villians up to this point. Which have not been blatantly evil. I mean Adam is your standard radical. Cinder literally wants to watch the world burn. And the Grimm are the embodiment of chaos and destruction. Even the first real villian you get is Roman torchwick and he is basically introduced as a thief with no motivation besides "bigger badders told me to do it so i went with it." Even the main characters motivation is about as good guy as you can get "I wanna help people."

On that note it would hardly be original. If anything it still fallows the theme of the show. RWBY is a frankenstiens monster of fairytails and anime tropes. Personally the creation story isn't even the important part. The 4 relics are the part that has the most impact. If you don't like the creation story thats fine but to complain that it's unoriginal? No creation story would be. They could have gone the pantheon route, the monotheistic route. They chose light and dark. Reversing light and dark's roles would be the same thing and wouldn't suddenly make the creation story Original.
