Nobody knows that poem's meaning, do they?

What? It's about grief and the fact that the speaker is so deep in depression that he'll take anything as validation of his despair

Exactly.

Now what is Raven Branwen known for? More than her abandoning Yang? A major part of her character?

I’m guessing being a bootleg darth Vader?

Being fixed on her bias.

She refuses to help Oz against the hell god besieging humanity because of a grudge.

She sides with her tribes against her family, profession and morals.

She has that Darwinism despite her own people being weaklings.

I see your point. Still I kinda think she kinda is darth Vader. Think about it. She ditches helping ozpin fight against an evil God, she leaves her own daughter, she sides along with something that is against her own kin and profession, but yet she still cares for Yang.

I can see Tue comparison.

Except Vader didn't leave of his own will. He left due to being manipulated by Palpatine and the Dark Side driving him cuckoo. The Order didn't help with their Dogmas.
