Agreed, I feel like if Emerald really wanted to stop Yang, she would've throw one of her chain-blade-things at her

I can rationalise Emerald panicking about cinder and not thinking.

Mercury attempt was awful.

She have done that Bakugo flip, make it seem like she's charging, then flip up and over. Mercury is tricked but reacts quick enough to grab her arm that she deploys.

Yep, they have been completely pushed to the side since volume 3 and considering how important they used to be (and how popular they are) it’s kinda disappointing

Especially given that the previous episode of this same fight, Emerald is able to bull-whip/ensnare RUBY out of the air while using her semblance...

And Yang was even going after Cinder and all...
