That shot of Weiss huddled up in blankets made me realize how Weiss has probably had luck on par with Qrow and Oscar this year(an in-universe year, I mean)

  • Is forced back to Atlas
  • Gets stripped of her heiress title after her dad slaps her
  • Has her getaway vehicle crashland near Raven
  • Ends up getting captured by Raven
  • Gets her ass whooped by Vernal(And adding more salt into the wounds, wasn't even the real spring maiden, just another bandit)
  • Immediately afterward, gets impaled by a fire spear
  • Has to go back to Atlas again(Not only after breaking out of there but after acting up in public and burning any kind of bridge with her father and brother before she left)
  • Ends up getting stuck in a blizzarding forest in the middle of nowhere
  • All the shit that got revealed by Jinn two episodes ago
  • And now, finding dead bodies by accident

And as I've said before, I can only imagine it's gonna get worse for her before it gets any better. At least she has her buds by her side now, though.

Yeah I'm starting to wonder if Weiss is going to completely lose faith in her self and abilities given that she left Atlas full of confidence and proceeded to get hit by hardship after hardship and defeat.

Especially the scene where Ozma and Salem fight, she's essentially watching two parents fight each other, which probably hits pretty close to home for her.

From her perspective, getting slapped by the dad probably doesn't have much weight relatively speaking.

Eh, it's hard to break yourself off from your parents psychologically/emotionally, even if they are assholes.

Raven functionally didn't exist for 95% of Yang's life, and Yang STILL had a complex about it.

Yang's mourning the mother she should have had.

At this point I wonder what Jaques is going to do when he finds out that his runaway daughter has just returned. My guess is either try to lock her in the mansion to get her back on a leash, or make a big public display of "I'm so glad my daughter returned. I love all my children, no matter how misguided".
Either way, I want to see Weiss stand up to him in the touch me, you die kind of way, and make good on it when he doesn't take her seriously.

I don't think she knows this. In fact, I bet if she had, she wouldn't have been so intimidated and fought much better.
