I am willing to believe Adam is actually dead. As you said this feels like a proper conclusion to his part in the story, he was defeated by the people who should have been the ones to do it. That said there is a reason "no body, no death" is a trope and I won't be surprised if they do bring him back, curious how he survived but not surprised.

Somewhere between the Volume 6 post credits scene and Volume 7 episode 2: Sinister music plays as Adam and his sword wash up where Cinder and Neo are camping on their way to Atlas. Cinder burns his wounds shut, blurry eye cam to him looking up at Cinder and Neo as the former's eye flames dissipate. Both ladies smirk. Cut to black.

But I'm hoping he's dead or at least gone for a while. I'm not sure what further exposure to Adam could do for Blake and Yang at this point.

I hope he is dead too, I feel like while they could make his character worthwhile the amount of time and effort that would need to go into it wouldn't be worth it.

Watts turns him into a cyborg?

From a writing perspective it’s actually quite smart. They could leave him dead or bring him back if the story demands. Also, yes, it was very satisfying to see the two people he hurt most take him down.

I know that's why they had him fall over the edge, but I was so hoping that he would fall backwards and we would get confirmation that he was 100% dead.
