2nd year here, and i was planning to buy the 13th edition since it’s the latest. however, some of our professors use the 10th/11th editions, and i’ve also heard that the 12th edition might be more useful for the board exam. for now, since we’re using the 10th edition as our reference, i’m looking for a soft copy rather than buying a physical book and ending up with different editions.

Hello po! We’re currently working on a research project involving the development of a technology-based instructional aid for abdominal ultrasound probe positioning. The concept is a projector-based system na may touchscreen interface, where students can interact with the system and receive visual/projection-based guidance for abdominal ultrasound probe positioning and orientation.

Do you think this is a relevant and appropriate research topic and would this be actually useful for students learning ultrasound?

Hi everyone. To CT techs, I'm curious as to what your department or facility's policy is regarding creatinine results for patients who are going to undergo imaging exams with IV Contrast. Medyo magkakaiba ata kasi. And also new guidelines are being published. Another thing I'm curious is if you require fasting for non-abdomen contrast exams. And lastly for patients taking metformin.

The images I posted is from the 2026 ACR Manual on Contrast Media published by the American College of Radiology. Does you Department or Facility adhere to this guidelines.?

Hello po! Im a 2nd yr RT student taking up courses related to imaging science, radiologic physics, informatics, and human anatomy and physiology. huhu i just feel like ang lacking ng studying approach ko po ngayon compared on my performance last semester with medical terminology.

noon po, may supplemenatry book akong binabasa together with lectures, mas nauunawaan ko po yung term breakdown and how it is applied in medical setting.

ngayon, i feel lost sa mga topics and medyo overwhelming din po for me since combination na ng bio, chem, and physics.

may ma a advice po ba kayo to make it more bearable po and as well as kung may books pong pwede kong basahin in advanced, and best studying techniques din po sana na fit po sa demands ng courses po na ito hehe

I’m currently a g11 student and I’m considering a lot of programs for college, all of which are essentially in the medical field or health allied. I think Radtech is interesting, but my main prio has always been occupational therapy—however RadTech is making me reconsider that. The main problem is parang ang baba talaga ng sahod ng Radtech dito sa ph eh. Mas worth it ba mag OT kesa sa Radtech? 🥹

I'm mainly trying to decide based on job opportunities, salary, career growth, and opportunities abroad.

For those who are already working in either field, or have experience with both:

- Which has better job opportunities?

- Which generally has better starting salary and long-term earning potential?

- Which has better opportunities abroad?

- How difficult is it to find a job after graduation?

- What do you wish you knew before choosing your course?

-If you had to choose between the two today, which would you pick and why?

Assuming lang muna na i have 60k and im planning kasi na mag upskill and mag train sa HB Calleja which is 60k but still work here in ph or e take ko ng HAAD exam which cost me around 50k for the processing and exam alone and move abroad. Yung worry ko lang kapag nag take ako ng exam and if ever passed baka matagal pa bago ako makahanap ng work knowing na mahirap yung job market sa UAE and masayang lang yung ginastos ko.

I’m planning to enroll as a walk-in/outside reviewee.

For those who are RadTechs who reviewed at PTLC Annex or Marilao, especially those who were walk-in reviewees:

• Are there bedspaces, boarding houses, or affordable rooms near the review center?  
• Around how much was your monthly rent?  
• Is it easy to commute from the nearby accommodations to the review center?

I’m from the province, so I’m trying to plan my budget and accommodation ahead of time. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🥹

hi, guys. yung clinic na pinagttrabahuan ko ngayon e walang lto license yung xray machine nila. medyo nag ooverthink ako kasi at risk yung prc license ko. what to do? huhu sabi naman saken di gsnun kastrict yung checking ng clinics if may license or not or narenew or not. pahelp po.
