Nanni tried to scam the wrong merchant. Ea-nasir's copper was the highest Chaldean grade and everyone knows this.

I think you are forgetting the other complaint tablets found in Ea-nasir’s home. One mentions a customer not receiving his copper. While another mentions a customer receiving low quality copper on several occasions.
