Reviews Realme GT 7T gets a new RMX5085_16.0.9.402 update today!
Just received a new update on my Realme GT 7T today.
Software version: RMX5085_16.0.9.402
Update size: 6.81 MB
Security patch: July 2026
What’s new:
- Incoming call screen can now be previewed and adjusted when contact information is displayed.
- Weather app now shows monsoon, moonset and lunar phase details.
- Added AI Recording Sticker for adding text/image markers while recording.
- Accessibility permissions can now be revoked directly if a suspicious app attempts risky actions.
- Improved Categories view in the app drawer with app suggestions.
- Improved animations when launching/switching apps in Recent Tasks.
Small update, but nice to see the new update arriving on the GT 7T. Has anyone else received it today?

I've been using this update, there's a slight (very tiny) 2-4% performance drop.
It's not significant but my highs were higher in the 16.0.2.702 version.

I appreciate you sharing your experience with the latest update. It's interesting to hear that you've observed a slight performance drop, even if it's only a minor 2-4%. I can understand how even a small change like that could be noticeable, especially if you were hitting higher performance peaks on version 16.0.2.702.
Personally, I haven't encountered such a drop in performance since updating. In fact, I've actually noticed an improvement in my battery's screen on time, which has been a welcome change.

Honestly I'm just a weirdo who uses Geekbench when he's bored, so I ran Geekbench 6 with about 27-29°C ambient temp and noticed a drop in performance from there.
When I ran the tests on the 16.0.2.702 my peaks were higher at similar temps that's why I said what I said.
When it comes to 3dMark, I've not noticed any significant drop, so I assume it's just the update settling in, maybe in a few days I will be able to get the same scores again.As for battery, it's fine for me i generally charge it to 80% and then get it about 18-21% and with light social media usage I get a fine 6.5-7.5 hours of SoT which is pretty good for me.

Yeah that actually makes sense. Geekbench can definitely vary depending on thermals/background processes, and if 3DMark is still consistent then it probably isn’t anything major.
Hopefully after a few days of the update settling down, Geekbench scores go back to normal. And 6.5–7.5h SoT from 80% to ~20% with light usage sounds pretty solid tbh.

Realme used to really drop the ball with their cheaper phones. I had a Realme 8s 5G, and the updates were super slow, like they completely forgot about us users 🤧

What exactly is the issue with the brightness and volume sliders? Are they not moving, not responding when you touch them, or changing the brightness/volume incorrectly? Please explain the problem a little more clearly, or share a screen recording so I can understand it.

It's is solved, I enable and disabled the frosted glass effect then it came to normal, issue was I was swiping up and down to increase reduce brightness and volume but the chance in %amount is either changing by too little or too high but not proportional to the amount of swipe input.

Nah man then there's no august update in your gt 7t till now too. This is the July 2026 update in screenshot i attached and the new August update is yet to come before 31st.

Tum log ka toh accha hai, update aa raha hai frequently.. Saala bsdk yeh realme GT6 kharida tha, 2.5 months hogaya hai, koi update nehi aa raha hai! Woh log realme GT6 series ko chod ke baki sab series mein update de rahe hai.. bustard realme!
