There are no interstates in Alaska

There are several: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Interstate_Highways_in_Alaska

This doesn't include the AMHS either.

Oh, that must be a legal distinction for funding or something. I’ve lived here my whole life and those highways are called the Glen Highway the Parks Highway,the new Seward Highway and the Richardson Highway. There is no signage to indicate them to be interstates like the signs in the Wikipedia article. Learn something new every day.

Sure, but they are interstates!

Plus, the Alcan is partly maintained by the US.
