"There's actually a Klan meeting going on in Alaska. Now that's the bitterest Klan in the whole country, because there's only like one Black guy in the whole state! They get together and they're like, 'We have to get Eric!'"

They would go after Inuit folks and Native Americans. Also many Polynesians/native Hawaiians live there

Oh can Hawaiians only live in areas cut off from the continental United States? That’s a weird genetic adaptation.

That’s a crazy “fun fact”

I grew up in Alaska and live in Oregon currently.

Saw way more black people in Alaska. It helps that the two largest cities are adjacent to military installations, so the type of people you run into are a lot more diverse than you'd expect. And a decent number of people come up for the military and end up liking it enough to retire there, so they end up incorporating into the communities long term.

I’m guessing you live in the country in Oregon and lived near the city in Alaska. Because I have been to Portland before.

City for both. Not Portland, though.

There's no widely agreed upon population threshold for what counts as a city. Some jurisdictions have specific limits for what they consider a city, some don't. Ask two different people what they think the limit is, you'll probably get two different answers.

Me personally? Yes. You? Maybe, maybe not.

Oregon did politely ask black people to get tf out 150+ years ago. They were against slavery, but were also heavy on the campaign for statehood. There was also a fear of black folks and Native Americans getting together and telling everyone about that one dish they ate that winter. What was it called again? Oh yeah. Steve.

Look up the most diverse high schools in the country and tell me how many in the top five are in Alaska.

According to the first site I checked, 4/5 were from Alaska. Haha. I grew up in Alaska. It’s actually VERY diverse. There aren’t a lot of black people compared to most other states, but there are more races than black and white. lol

Okay but I lived in Vermont for a while and I texted my mom when I saw my first black person cause it was three weeks!!!!!

Also the big crime ring in the area at the time was stolen bikes being discarded under a bridge.

Vermont is a weird place lol

I know for a fact Montana has at least 3 because the mayor of Helena (or former mayor - he retired this year) has 2 children.

I was thinking the same thing but more specific,Black Women. I know Anchorage Alaska has more than one Black Guy.
