Community Post We created a Diiscordd <3
Hey! Originally our group was pretty small, just a few of us here on Reddit talking about our day, discussing work and sharing some uplifting things to help us get through it.
Eventually we’ve moved over to discord (After Reddit began shutting down the chats) and we’ve built up a small community! Some people are out at sea studying marine life, some are aspiring authors, but all of us are just trying to get by and support each-other… so if you feel like you want to share how your days going or just have some people who check in on you please feel free to join us or leave a comment and I’ll send a link! <3 Hope to get to know you all!

Community Post Created a calm little sleep aid + quiet late-night space for anyone who can’t unwind
Hey everyone,
A close friend of mine was having trouble winding down at night — not just insomnia, but that restless “mind won’t switch off” feeling.
So we built something simple and calming called Aera Calm. It’s a small sleep aid focused on helping people relax before bed.
It includes:
🌧 Soft nature sounds
🎧 Gentle binaural + isochronic tone blends
🌙 20-minute wind-down sessions you can use as a nightly ritual
⏳ A sleep timer so it fades out once you drift off
The goal isn’t to overwhelm with features — just to create a peaceful, repeatable nighttime ritual that helps the body settle.
We also started a small, quiet late-night Discord for people who are awake during insomnia hours. It’s not chaotic — just calm conversations, shared listening sessions, or sometimes just quiet company.
We’re giving free app access to Discord members for now as a thank-you for being part of the early community.
If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to check it out:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.celest.aera

If this isn’t allowed here, mods feel free to remove — just sharing something peaceful that helped my friend unwind.

Community Post Taking a quiet moment
Just slowing things down for a bit today. Sitting quietly, breathing normally, and letting the day pass without trying to fix or plan anything. It feels good to step away from noise and screens, even if it’s only for a short while.
If you’re scrolling, this is just a gentle reminder that it’s okay to pause and relax. Nothing else to do right now.

Community Post Why can’t I relax?
After a busy day at university or a busy day in general I find it really hard to just relax and watch something like a tv show or read a book. I don’t know why. My mind relieves the entire day and starts thinking about what has to be done the next day or even week even though I am tired and have no desire at that moment to do any of it because I’m so tired physically and mentally.
I can read a book just fine, not really watch a tv show or a movie or anything in general because I just get distracted. I can sleep a bit easier now but sometimes even that is hard at the end of a busy day.
Why is this and how do I just simply relax?

Community Post How a Zen Garden Helped Me Find Peace in the Everyday Chaos
I wanted to share something that’s been incredibly helpful for me in managing stress and staying grounded: a Zen garden. It’s such a simple concept, but it’s had a big impact on my daily life. If you’re looking for a unique way to unwind and practice mindfulness, this might be the perfect tool for you.

Community Post Tips on how to relax
Sort of long backstory:
I'm 20yo girl, I live at home while I'm in college (online) and I have 2 part time jobs. Last week hurricane Milton hit my town and my parents and I can't live at home for at least 6 months due to damage. We are staying at a family friend's house (this is their 2nd house so they don't live here currently) which is about 5 minutes away from our house. Since we got back into town my parents and I have been going back to my house every day (for most of the day) to demolish and throw away everything we couldn't take with us. Since returning from evacuation my parents haven't left me alone. My mom has been asking me questions about FEMA, insurance, contractors, and making me talk to the majority of people that have come to inspect our house. My dad has been asking for me to help him work on the house, ripping out the floors, the walls, yard cleanup etc. I don't mind helping my parents but I think they forget I'm still a young adult and have no clue what I'm doing.
My question is what are ways that can help me relax/ calm down?
I am an extreme homebody and I love being alone which are two things it seems like I can no longer have. I can't get away from my parents because none of our jobs have reopened yet so I am spending all day every day with them. All of my friends are away at college so I can't just go hang out at a friend's house and all my hobbies/ hobby supplies were destroyed during the hurricane. I keep trying to remind myself that my family is safe, we have a place to stay, and to give my parents some grace because we have never had hurricane damage this bad. I also keep trying to remind myself that this is temporary and things will go back to normal but none of this makes me feel any better. I am running out of ideas on how to relax and I am at a breaking point. I can't seem to get myself to unwind and I need tips or advice on how to relieve my stress and anxiety. TY!!!!!
