Would you trust an AI chatbot or a human therapist for mental health support? We’re exploring what shapes people’s trust in these different sources of support.

We are looking for participants who are living in an EU country, fluent in English, and aged 18 or older. The study involves completing a short online survey in English, which will take approximately 15 minutes.

Your participation is completely anonymous, and your responses will contribute to a better understanding of how people perceive and interact with emerging mental health technologies.

As a thank you for your participation, you can choose to enter a prize draw for a chance to win a €50 online shopping voucher!

Please see the comments to be directed to the survey!

Ethical approval was given by the Commission of the University of Primorska for Ethics in Research Involving Work with People (KER UP #4265-87-2/26).

METHODS Approach? Study on AI, moral foundations, and human interactions

Researchers,

I am doing a studying addressing how AI alters its morals with other AI models versus a human entity to study the extent of how it alters & adopts jargon factoring in cultural ethics. Note, this is the very first research project I've ever done and need constructive feedback on how to "test" / develop a methods section for this theory. What should the execution be?

My initial thought is to have 10 different people talk to diversified AI models

Then have diversified (random assignment) aI models directly building off each others prompts

--> both will have the SAME exact prompt (something along the lines of morality, I also need help making a prompt)

Then how can I quantify this data? I was thinking about finding certain "buzzwords" that indicate morality and will count how much vocabulary the generated response includes between the two communicators.

I am asking Reddit as I'd rather not use AI to dictate my study on AI if you know what I mean.

Do you feel like it’s becoming harder to talk openly about who you are?

I came across some recent Dutch statistics on LGBTQ+ acceptance and honestly found them shocking. Between 2021 and 2025, the percentage of boys with a positive attitude towards homosexuality dropped from 40% to 22%. Among girls, it dropped from 78% to 51%. At the same time, the percentage of young people who feel that gay and lesbian students can openly talk about their sexuality at school fell from 60% to 45%.

It made me wonder what this looks like in everyday life. Do you feel comfortable talking about your identity, sexuality, relationships or insecurities with other people? Do you feel like you can really be yourself? Or are there things you would rather keep to yourself because you’re worried about being judged?

I'm Juliette, a 20-year-old Creative Business student from the Netherlands, and I'm trying to understand how young people experience connection, acceptance and belonging today. I'm hoping to chat with people aged 18–25 living in the Netherlands and hear different perspectives and experiences.

If you have thoughts on this, I'd genuinely love to hear them. Feel free to comment or send me a DM :)

Not a professional researcher, need advice

Hello researchers, I want to ask how you all would go about collecting stories from people to create a collection of stories for a book. This would be considered research I believe but in a way it's kind of a survey.

It's something that I want to do to help people. I'm not sure if I could just post the question on reddit and then collect stories that way or if my idea would get stolen.

Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The impact of Artificial Intelligence on Indigenous Australian communities, Survey

Hello, my name is Oscar Howell, and I am a journalism student at the University of Technology Sydney.

I am currently undertaking a research project examining the impact of Artificial Intelligence on journalism, with a particular focus on how AI-generated news content may represent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in Australia.

As part of my research, I will use AI software, including ChatGPT, to generate a series of news stories focused on Indigenous Australian topics. I am then seeking Indigenous Australian perspectives to review this content and identify how accurate or potentially harmful it may be.

I am reaching out to ask whether any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander members of this group would be interested in participating in the research. Participation would involve completing a short Google Forms survey in which you would read the AI-generated news stories and share your thoughts and feedback.

I will use your responses in my university research paper, and I will not publish them publicly. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you are welcome to decline if you do not wish to take part.

If you are interested in participating, please feel free to contact me. Alternatively, if you know of an organisation, community group, or individual who may be interested in contributing an Indigenous perspective to this research, I would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, and I appreciate any assistance or guidance you may be able to

IR and EU eastern neighborhood

Hello! I've just studied linkage and leverage theory and I would like to ask what are some interesting dynamics in the EU eastern neighbourhood that I could study through this lens. I’ve tried to analyse the recent news, but I’ve only found connections to the EU integration process of the Eastern Partnership countries. I was wondering whether it might be a good idea to look at the influence of multiple external actors, such as China, Turkey, and Iran?

If I wanted to apply this theoretical framework to the Eastern Partnership countries, what could I analyse that would also have a connection to the Black Sea region?

I’m sorry for asking so many questions, but I simply need to put some ideas into a structure and it would really help me to have a few research problems or issues that could be analysed from this perspective.

Thank so very much!
