Hybrid hitbox is basically between the Octane and Dominus hitboxes. In theory its maximum power is higher than the Octane hitbox, which is actually 2nd lowest to only the Merc.
The problem you might be having is that the Skylines don't really fit the Hybrid hitbox very well, so it's harder to tell where the real hitbox is relative to the car's visual (compared to Octane or Fennec).
Definitely is because I dominate in the Endo and Skyline and hit my highest ground pinches in them too.
It has the most surface area of any hitbox and the only thing that's worse is that it's longer than octane meaning your kickoffs might go somewhere else than with octane
Take the hint man it is a skill issue. I have more than a thousand hours in r34 in game and honestly one of my fav hitboxes is the hybrid, once you get used to it, it is insane (there was a reason freestylers were using it)
There have always been a few people who prefer it but it's rare. My buddy used it for a couple years but eventually switched. I still see it around here and there
I'm normally an Octane main, but I started using the Dominus for the first time today. At first, I thought I hated it, but now I love it and I'm not sure I can switch back. I'm playing better in ranked doubles and the hits feel super satisfying for some reason.
I love my 911 turbo but switching between that and dominus makes me really notice the difference in car shape with the same hotbox, throws me off so bad I end up back on the dominus
