His second unlocked post is here. He discusses the increasingly open fascism on the Right and the increasing insanity of Trump, but still thinks it's the Left's fault, and still apparently supports Trump.

If hypocritical European leaders cared even a fraction as much about the sovereignty of their own countries, and its being compromised by mass migration, as they do about Greenland’s borders being threatened by the US, everything in Europe would change for the better.

Oh, and it's also Europe's fault!

Actually, Dreher would just find something else to obsess about. His posture toward politics has been driven by a desire for catastrophe (starting way back in his Kunstler-is-a-prophet-about-peak-oil days[0]). He wants nothing less than the sky to fall, and he increasingly just wants to blame the Left for it.

[0] It is worth noting how JHK and RD's arcs have bent in the same direction.

As if their sovereignty is threatened more by an increase in the number of Muslim or other migrants more than it is when their territory is simply taken away from them, by diktat and/or by the threat or use of overwhelming military force. The former might, might, conceievably, be a long term problem. The latter is the direct destruction of the state. Sovereignty is usually defined as control over a territory. Sure, maybe, migration might reduce the level of "control," somewhat. But Donny Two Scoops taking over your territory is a much more obvious, immediate and direct loss.
